The Gators have been close—they were in the CFP mix until the Infamous Thrown Cleat Game against LSU in 2020.

It’s amazing how much a shoe in the hands of an idiot can make such an impact.

I like how you didn’t click the link and acted like you just knew there was no explanation needed.

No one is shocked, they’ve been lapped in facilities by their older and larger brother and have been a bottom dwelling team in a bottom conference for most of a decade

Texas A&M (5)
The dirty secret here is A&M has never had a true powerhouse era. The one national title predates America’s involvement in World War II, and there haven’t been many close brushes with greatness since then.

This. The perennial pretenders.

And of course we had to have Cade York come out and nail a 57 yard game winner in the middle of a fog cloud as if he were hitting a chip shot in the first quarter against Jacksonville State. Guy is unbelievable.

This is the type of season that Auburn comes out and goes 11-1 and wins the SEC. Just saying.

Maybe not 11 -1 but I would not want to play them when everybody is picking them to be down.

Our 4-8 team that lost to GA Southern still beat them by 14.

Maybe, but Gene Chizik had one of the greatest seasons ever there. I guess O and Gene were pretty similar after all.

To go 8-4/9-3? Not that long ago that would be a down year not a goal. I’m worried about RB/LT/DB too much to be confident of much more than that. I fully expect to beat the Vandy, Kentucky, Mizzou, South Carolina tier but until the Vols can beat Florida it’s not saying much.

Now try it by being quiet. It's very apparent that you're quite confident.

So Florida was close in 2020, but A&M hasn't been. Got it.
