That's gotta be a smoke screen. If you are LSU, you want a younger coach that will be there for many years to come. LSU is the type of program that can get an elite coach.
If I'm indeed wrong and Casey is hired, I'll assume that the LSU administration is half retarded.

It’s not my first choice but if I’m the AD then in terms of pure baseball if you’re not stoked about any of the available candidates at this point then I’d rather a 5-6 year bridge guy like this who you know can win big and then try again as opposed to taking someone you’re not jazzed about.

His numbers are insane but he retired due to health problems and I’m not sure he’ll be able to handle the pressures that come with being the head coach at LSU
