One thing you have to understand about Woodward is that his real dream is not being an AD, but being a politician.

At LSU when you’re the AD you are a politician, like it or not.

So LSU fans - Casey or Bianco? Who do you prefer?

Casey without question. I would rather a bridge to someone that Woodward considers qualified than go with Bianco that's never been all that successful.

Yeah why hire someone you’re lukewarm about?

Casey can definitely win a title and be here 5-6 or maybe longer and then go get your next long term guy after that.

They're retiring Paul. I would have thought they'd be looking for someone a little younger. Not a fish out of the water in the south. He was born in Oregon. He went to schools in Oregon. He's only ever coached in Oregon. He recruited the West Coach and PNW. Not Texas & SEC country.

I am not saying he's not a great coach because he's an all timer. But he's not Saban. I don't think he'll going to age like that.

Mississippi State hired a coach that has only recruited the mid west and north and we are doing just fine. You are overthinking a 3 time national champion at a shite school in Oregon. Get real. If LSU hires Casey he will have them in Omaha year 2 at the latest.

I would to this day. He doesn’t need to be anywhere near LSU. He needs to stay retired

I don’t know how much I buy the “regional fit” line of thinking, every college sport is replete with coaches who were wildly successful despite never coaching in a region or conference before

Now there may be something to the spotlight of LSU baseball program being too much for an older guy who is used to a certain level of visibility in his community, but whether or not that would apply here I don’t think any of us could say.

Saban's at the top of his game for a geezer. Is Casey?

He won the CWS the last time he coaches a whole 2 years ago.

The Board of Supervisors rejected Sully because of his baggage. That was accurate when it was tweeted.
