It’s hard to say. Card definitely had happy feet and panicked in the pocket.. Casey makes quick decisions and has no problem tucking it and running the ball.. There were plays to be made in that game.. especially the deep ball.
A functional offense keeps our defense off the field and more rested as well.. plus it puts pressure on Jefferson.
It’s all hypothetical. Y’all kicked our arse fair and square, but I would have liked to see that game.

Hmm? He went against Arkansas's vaunted trenches and got a bunch of TDs. Y'all were only sending 3. A seasoned QB can easily be the difference maker in that situation. Think about the geometry of the pocket for just a second when you're sending 3 vs 4 or 5.

I read that he went with Card for 2 reasons:
1) Casey had 3 turnovers in a scrimmage right before the season.
2) Casey apparently showed up late for 2 meetings in August. No idea if this is true.
I don’t fault Sark for picking Card. Card probably fits Sarks offense better if he had a good OL, but our OL is not very good right now. Card 100% has a better arm.. He can really sling it, but his deep balls do need some tweaking.
That being said, some guys just don’t practice good and a light comes on during a real game. Casey appears to be one of those guys.

2 Punts (1 was running out the clock)
1 INT (last week when he got hit throwing the ball)
That is 5.62 Points Per Drive. It wasn’t against an elite defense, but the guy just leads his team to scores. It won’t stay at that pace, but we will win a lot of games if he can do 3.5 PPD or better in Big 12 play.
