1st Down - Highest rating of any QB on any down
2nd Down - Lowest rating of any QB on any down

ETA: Source
I pulled the stats from each players ESPN page..
Then Splits.
Downs are about halfway down the page..
Passer Rating Column is 6th from right..

Here is Bazelak’s..

1st Down
22-28 for 460 Yards and 4 TD

That’s pretty damn good.

Calzada at 79 on 3rd down is a pretty big oof. At that point you're better off just doing a QB dive for field position.

You want to know what is crazy about that stat?

It was 3rd & 9 when Calzada hit Spiller for that TD against Colorado..

Without that play, his Passer Rating is 57.2 on 3rd Down.

10-24 115 Yards 1 TD 2 Int on 3rd Down
Without that play..
9-23 97 Yards 0 TD 2 Int

Sometimes, you just get lucky.

I feel like 1st down passer rating has a little more to do with the offensive coordinator than the QB. It's a non obvious passing down so you can pretty much dial up whatever you want.

Definitely scheme involved. KJ has improved each week and showing more every game. It’s definitely way different from game 1 of wtf, to game 3 what a bomb! He still has tons of wtf, but he plays hard.

Not that any of you Aggie haters care,, but Calzada's first game to ever start is apart of those statics. A game in which he was told to take the field on a game he thought he would be holding a clipboard for 3 hours.

Keep posting these however, I'd love to see how the numbers change

All I see is KJ Jefferson is way better than Calzone.

And thats not even factoring in his 60 rushing yards per game.

Your Qb has more attempts in 2 games than KJ has in 3. But okay.

You didnt prove anything other than he has more passing attempts this year. KJ had 5 games and a start LAST season.

kJ started Mizzou because Paca was in the stable. We also played our 3rd string QB last week. Jerry’s grandson.

So will you just admit you guys knew nothing about KJ and many from your fanbase said he sucked. Also say as of now, before this game, KJ is better than Calzada?
