Partly cloudy skies forecast - we're asking the SEC for a postponement

In keeping with the precedent established by the LSU - Florida game scheduled for October 8, UT is asking the SEC office to postpone their game with Alabama scheduled for October 15. Forecasters are calling for dangerous partly cloudy skies that day in Knoxville. Tennessee Athletic Director Dave Hart stated "When clouds gather, bad things can happen. We just want to avoid any potential problems."

Can't blame UT, the major concern needs to be with the player's families. GOOD LUCK with this horrible situation. Whatever you do, don't agree to play Sunday or Monday. Take the insurance money instead.

Game moved to Tuscaloosa by 5 this evening.

I think it'll be okay. We just need to push the kickoff time a few hours. We'll have to swap it out, and play on ESPN instead of CBS.

My sources are telling me Bill Battle is pushing for the game to be played in Tuscaloosa. Will monitor.

y'all have a lot of injuries. I think you could play it like the chicken shite Foley did and you'd be okay. tell 'em it's cool for Saturday and then cancel the game; no postponement. Foley said the game was CANCELLED.
