Blistering article

Whether clueless or callous, Nate Oats' leadership of Alabama basketball is 'godawful' | Toppmeyer

quote:

Nate Oats must be either utterly clueless or horribly callous. Those are the leading explanations for the Alabama coach’s repeated missteps that cemented the Crimson Tide as a stain on the college basketball season. Oats insists he’s the former, while he repeatedly pleads ignorance after engaging in one screwup after another. Oats, apparently, is unaware of an awful lot happening in and around his program.

quote:

Why should we trust a coach as unobservant as Oats?

Just because newspapers are trying to sell papers or get clicks does not matter

But Tuscaloosa News does appreciate your click

You think if he was an elected official he could get re-elected in Tuscaloosa after writing this piece?

I wonder if that kind of thing is considered by elected officials when making decisions.

I think we are all worried about Tuscaloosa's health at this point. This post is over ten minutes old and he hasn't responded.

Oats is an accomplished coach who assembled a talented roster, but he's proven to be a feckless and careless leader in this turbulent time for Alabama basketball and tragic time for Harris' family. As the face of Alabama basketball, he's continually bungled the program's outward response, turning a tragedy into a mockery.

All it will take for that reporter to go away is for Saban to make one phone call. It's that easy.

If this ever happens at Auburn, I can only assume you'll be their loudest defender.

Alabama HC Nate Oats gave go-ahead for Brandon Miller's 'pat-down' pregame intro

quote:

The latest controversy surrounding the Crimson Tide comes after Tuscaloosa detective Branden Culpepper testified last week during a preliminary hearing that Miller brought ex-teammate Darius Miles' gun to him the night of the fatal shooting of 23-year-old Jamea Jonae Harris in January, after Miles texted him to do so

Talk about naïve, wishful thinking.

This is going to be talked about for the next quarter century.
