OU still needs to run the ball better. Having our full OL back next week will help. Blaylock still had a good game just hope had a stinger when he left early. Was surprised Ott wasn’t RB1. I don’t know much on UM but they are always a tough, physical team. OU for the win but it could be close.

I can see this as a 38-21 win for Oklahoma. The Cheaters defense needs a lot of work and are gonna miss a key player for the first half.

True freshman vs Venables? OU -225 ML and under 47.5 is borderline arbitrage. They could theoretically lose a low scoring game, which is why the under is a perfect hedge, but the only way that game goes over is if OU wins by 10+

Circa has OU -5.5

I think OU shuts down Michigans offense. They looked bad Saturday and struggled most of the game

I’d say 27-13 OU

Underwood turned 18 last week. I think they are a 6-6/7-5 team this year and much better next year.

I think this will be an ou victory. Their defense should handle the young qb. Also looking forward to seeing Mateer against the meatchicken def. If he does well, that could be a wakeup call for the SEC.

History. Our only game vs Michigan

Mike Houck
@mhouckOU

Saturday's OU-Michigan matchup will mark the second between the storied programs. OU won the 1976 Orange Bowl 14-6 to earn the '75 national title. Crazy stat from that game: the Sooners caught more Michigan passes (3) than the Wolverines did (2). UM was 2 of 20 passing (3 INTs).

OU did not allow a Michigan pass completion until less than 40 seconds remained in the game.

OU owns the big ten .. unlike our little horns OU has never lost to Ohio state at the shoe 2-0. OU was super vanilla vs Illinois state which was actually a very fundamental team. Not trying to say they are some world beaters but they were ranked 6th in fcs and very sound on defense.

OU didn’t run any elite defensive schemes vs them pretty much just normal stunts and bull rushes .Held them to 140 yards total I think . OUs offensive line was out a bunch of players and we held out OTT for most of the game . He still looks hurt to me but maybe he can go next week .

One thing that worries me is the up the middle runs Michigan likes to do and knowing Venables who likes to stack the box it could mean bad news if they break one . I think OU is light years better offensively than last year . I suspect getting the Oline who were hurt back plus is actually using our offense more this week we will be much better offensively . OU must run the ball better this week . If they stack the line I like Mateer to go off again. I suspect it could either be a slow grind it out game or if we jump out fast OU could really pull away. OUs receivers are really good , much better than I thought they was going to be. We had to play scout team freshman last year . Burks and Lewis are quick studs . Defense will carry OU to a win . I suspect OU will be all over Michigan defensively and OU will be good enough for a 14 point win. Road games are really hard for freshman. Good news for Michigan it’s probably going to be the coldest game ever for this time of year . We normally in the 100s for kick off first few games but this game will be in the 70s .

I never like to use a historical example of past records to predict a victory. After all, Jawja had never lost to Notre Dame until last CFP. So shite changes all the time. With that said, I still think OU wins it vs the whoreverines

"I don't make excuses"...proceeds to make excuses about four-straight losses.

Y'all were 22.5-point favorites last year and weren't doing crap before Howard got injured the game. Michigan owns y'all nowadays. They're the only team that owns y'all, but they do. Just admit it.

Good post by 2quik here! The sec is finally starting to realize just how good the B10 Conference is, and if we haven't got your attention yet, we will very shortly...the B10 is just loaded!

As for Oklahomo, they are going to see first hand how talented this Michigan team is...and how good Underwood is, too. The thing to watch (and you can ask the Gumps about it) is that Michigan has sec speed, B10 power, and all our kids can read & write, to boot!

The game will be close for 3 quarters, yes, but Michigan is going to PRISON POUND the OU front 7 into another dimension...and they will get to meet Mr. Max Bredeson firsthand, often considered the toughest dude in the entire NCAA!

So, you Oklahomo people tidy up your double-wides, snuggle up with your cattle or sheep or half-sisters, whatever...UM is coming into town, and we're looking for a good fight behind the livestock barns!

Michigan 31, Oklahomo 24
