Isn't Bedenbaugh (sp?) an above average OL coach? Did OL players transfer out or is it injuries?
Kevin Johns is supposedly a good OC too, right?
Be interesting to see if y'all can get it turned around.

I give BB a pass for now. He lost his entire like and then had injuries. Add in not having your top 5 wrs means the ones who do play are just not going to get separation like the top 5 - and that means to pass you need more time to make deeper reads to find an open one. Then throw in very raw qbs on top of everything else.

BB has put many players in NFL. It takes him time to teach them but he usually prevails. But it only takes a few misses recruiting and some key injuries to hurt when your line is all new as it is.

Seth could have helped by running more. That burns clock. Eliminates qb errors. Helps you find how to best run. And can open up passes. And if you don’t get first downs running you at least gave D a rest plus can let them get ball back.

I think at that point we will be playing our best ball. I was just wondering how many Oklahoma people are planning to make their first trip to Tiger Stadium. It should be a night game and a good time for everybody. I’m planning to make the trip to Norman next year.

There will be plenty. Some may be hesitant based on a prior experience with LSU fans in playoff game, but I think most realize that was a different setup.

I'm far far from an insider, but was Litrell really the problem with the offense? In other words I'm not sure the hottest OC in the country could scheme around QB, WR and O-line issues.

This just seems like Bert V trying to divert heat away from himself.

Wow. Did not know that. That would really hurt any team and qb.
Unless you have Patrick Mahomes.

You guys should hire USF head coach

I’m telling you he is really good

Had our offense rocking here before he took that job.

Tennessee might need to hire him when Heupel either leaves or gets fired.

I would love to have him back

I know he was the reason our Offense was so damn good then.

Heupel is a great coach we love him

But we need something to spark our Offense.

Like Mizzou isn’t the same as it was last year

Drink isn’t a great Coach surely you know this

Good move by Venables, that offense was painful to watch

Hope Joe Jon gets y'all rolling a bit with the run game, just not too much before you come to Baton Rouge

It's so crazy. I could've sworn OU fans were all over this board claiming Lebby sucked as an OC and playcaller and Littrell was going to be better by a lot. Let's check out the numbers so far:

2023 Oklahoma Offense:
- 41.7 PPG (4th in the country)
- 507 YPG (3rd in the country)
- 6.8 Yards per play (10th in the country)

2024 Oklahoma Offense:
- 22.1 PPG (107th in the country)
- 288.1 YPG (128th in the country)
- 4.3 Yards per play (131st in the country)

The funniest part of this as an outside observer is that you probably alienated Jackson Arnold, who still might turn out to be a pretty good or possibly even great QB, because his whole WR group more or less was injured and his OC and OL was terrible.

Biggest issue was we lost our entire starting 5 from the OL last year.

Portal decision 1:
Somehow, just prior to going into the SEC, the decision was made to replace those five in the portal with a walk-on from North Texas, a benched OT from USC, a benched OT from MSU who insiders warned us was terrible, an injured LG from U-dub who can't play, and a small C from SMU.

Portal decision 2:
The decision was also made to bring in an unproductive TE from Southeastern LA who was converted from QB, and another unproductive TE from Baylor with no transfer portal value.

The portal decision-making that took place last year, prior to going into the SEC, has sank this entire offense and the entire season. They have been nothing but rolling disasters week to week. This is the crux of the issue.
