Texas has more recent National Championship than Oklahoma. Texas has been in CFP Semifinals the last two years. Oklahoma nowhere.
Yup, Oklahoma better program in recent years.
aggy is busy being aggy.

Texas destroyed the Big XII by leaving it.

One thing about it...
It is stuff like this thread that is going to cause it to take at least a generation for OU/TX fans to ever jump on this "All for one and one for all/hell no, I won't forget" SEC bandwagon.

Yeah so we figured we would come over and play easier teams like Bama, LSU, and Georgia?
I want whatever you are smoking....

Maybe? However, kicking Mizz and LSWho to the curb would raise the collective IQ of the SEC by 1.5 standard deviation.

yes? you and Aggie are happy to lose to those teams.
and y'all can't fricking stand losing to Texas and Oklahoma -- which you always did.

Haha at all of this talk.
What it comes down to is the original SEC schools are scared of Oklahoma and Texas. The same of you that griped about us coming in are the same ones that are posting here. You didn't want change, but you really didn't want change that meant getting your butts spanked.
That's all this is. Come on, admit it.
In reality, our addition has already resulted in greater fan interest, hate, smack talk, and everything else that is great about college football. I love it.

as well as A&M’s rampant cheating resulting in multiple postseason and television bans
Texas cheated just as much if not more. Until recently A&M didn't have a law school and journalism school like Texas. We didn't have alums who were legislators and journalists to keep us from paying for our sins. At the time A&M was just an all male Agricultural and Engineering school.
We tried to come to the SEC in 1992 when Arkansas came but with Ann Richards(Baylor grad) governor and very few Aggie legislators, politics prevented us from leaving. The only way we escaped was having Rick Perry as governor.
So spare us all with your claims of innocence.

I’ll educate you since you lack the self discipline and integrity to do it yourself little one.
SWC Revenue Hoarding (1914-1996): UT kept disproportionate TV/bowl revenue (e.g., $100K Cotton Bowl vs. $250K league-wide), resisted equitable sharing, and pushed super-conference ideas to avoid supporting peers.
SWC Collapse via Arkansas Exit (1990s): UT pressured Arkansas to SEC (1991), fracturing SWC, then led A&M/Baylor/Tech to Big 8 (1994), dissolving the conference and stranding Houston/Rice/SMU/TCU.
SWC Recruiting Scandals (1980s): UT’s illicit recruiting in NCAA violation wave damaged SWC reputation, prioritizing wins over ethics.
Big 12 Pac-10 Flirtation (2010): UT’s secret Pac-10 talks, demanding Longhorn Network, triggered Colorado/Nebraska exits, deepening Big 12 distrust.
Longhorn Network Revenue Grab (2011): UT’s $300M ESPN deal kept third-tier rights unshared, fueling Big 12 disparities and A&M’s SEC exit.
Big 12 Governance Overreach (2010s): UT vetoed equitable scheduling/TV deals, forced neutral-site rivalries, demanded Dallas office move, and pushed unequal revenue, driving exits.
Big 12 Expansion Veto (2016): UT blocked Cincinnati/Houston/UCF additions, weakening TV value to maintain control.
SEC Defection (2021): UT/OU’s abrupt SEC move, timed with expiring TV deals, blindsided Big 12, forced Pac-12 raids, and earned UT “conference killer” label.
SEC Fan Misconduct (2024): UT fans’ debris-throwing after Georgia game penalty reversal led to $250K SEC fine, harming sportsmanship.
SEC Betting Violations (2024-2025): UT reported five football betting infractions, undermining SEC integrity.
SWC Scheduling Manipulation (1980s-1990s): UT secured favorable schedules, avoiding tough opponents, skewing competitive balance.
Big 12 Exit Fee Tactics (2021-2024): UT delayed SEC move to 2024, negotiating lower exit fees while maximizing Big 12 TV revenue, weakening remaining members.
Excellent post. However, allow me to add:
For the entirety of the original Big XII, Texas (along with Nebraska, Oklahoma and A&M, ahem) formed a voting block of four teams that prevented equal TV revenue sharing in that conference. The league was set up so that any changes along those lines required a super majority of nine teams for approval (75%).
So, while I agree with you in principle, A&M and Nebraska have been at least somewhat hypocritical when pointing the finger at Texas for all of the Big XII's issues.

We took UTx for the TV sets, and OU came along as a tag along since they don't bring much to the table.

Your most recent national title was 20 years ago. I think it’s fair to say that both programs need to stop nitpicking a 5 year difference on that.
