OSU out of contention: A&M and Northwestern U both make CFP?

Northwestern is 5-0 and in the driver's seat in the Big Ten now. If A&M wins out and Bama defeats Florida decisively in Atlanta I'd say the Ags have a good shot. Both schools ending their postbellum futility would be peak 2020

I love to bag on them but it’s fricking insane that they haven’t had more success.
Boy they have a hell of a shot this year to get in.
They need to root for Notre Dame and Bama the rest of the season and if they just win these last 3, they’ll be heavily favored in all of them, and they’re in.

As of now, Northwestern has games with Michigan State, Minnesota and Illinois and then the Big Ten championship game on December 19.

Then tOSU has the easiest route to the CFP. They picked them over PSU when PSU won the B1GCG and tOSU head to head.

If OSU doesn't qualify for the Big Ten championship game by not playing six games and Northwestern goes 9-0 I think they'll be hard-pressed to find a reason to take the Buckeyes

Because OSU will not have a strong enough CFP'S resume when stacked against a bunch of other teams that put in the work! Such as, aTm, fla, N.D., Miami, Northwestern, CINN, or even a Marshall/BYU .,.... That had their schedules dismantled and did the best they could just to play 10-11 games.

A playoff does not equal a top 4 finish, just like a CWS semis does not equal a top 4 finish. That graphic was updated because A&M finished 2nd in ‘89 & ‘93 in baseball. If anything, for rankings alone, we’d be better off being left out and then winning a NY6. It’s such a stupid graphic anyway. A&M has 3 national titles, multiple top 5 finishes, & double digit top 10 finishes in football alone.
