Looks like they've set it up to maximize the chances of a Big 10 team being in the title game. It's all about ratings and money.

If you can’t grasp that I’m not griping just addressing one of a number of absurdities of the committee you may be.

You ought to be ashamed too as much as I’ve agreed and liked your stuff on the Poli board.

They had to make OSU’s game not matter that much other than flip flopping them and Indiana to ensure the other conference games didn’t matter.

Only 1 stat matters. OSU kept it close with the #1 team, Indiana.

Make it make sense.

A. The committee is retarded (I now see why Arkansas makes the coaching hires they do).

B. tOSU was a missed 20 yard FG away from OT.

(I want it noted that I think Georgia will win the ESPN Invitational and I will be rooting for them).

If that’s the only stat they want to cherry pick, it doesn’t outweigh the things I noted in the OP.

Removing the championship games totally from the equation, then, you have UGA 1-1 vs top 10, OSU 0-1, you have UGA with the same record with a far tougher schedule, and you have one common opponent which UGA dominated and OSU didn’t.

Indiana and OSU both have 3-4 losses with UGA's schedule.

You were down 4 scores.. we let you back in the game. Can’t be kicking dogs when they’re down

All of your original points plus Georgia beat 3 teams in the final AP top 25, Ohio State only beat 2.,

Blatant Big Ten bias at work

Literally doesnt matter, 2 and 3 are on the same side of the bracket either way. You guys will smoke us if we even make it to the final 4.

Don't be a pussy. Ohio State has won 4 in a row against the SEC and that streak will continue in the playoffs.

Nah, they’re really good teams, 1-2 additional losses, for sure.

My issue with it is the whole conference champions bring added value approach they leaned on a few years back.

We won the sec and our reward for it was no movement in the poll at all. It’s like they changed their metric to now favor the eye test.

Good question OP. That is 1 of So many dumb things the committee did including the 1st round rematches, setting up 2nd round rematches, suddenly changing their minds on ND/Miami, putting James Madison and Tulane in. Did I miss anything?

Ohio State played Indiana down to the wire. UGA lost to Alabama once and it wasn't that close.

Both were 3 point games
