I'd be livid if I were an aggie and this happened. UT treats you like shite, so you leave and go do your own thing in a new conference, achieve incredible success, only to have those frickers show up and crash the party again.

It would be great to see all of the rustled jimmies though. Jar manufacturers would take a huge hit.

Didn't Texas sign a grant of rights deal which turns over all of their TV money to the Big 12 for the duration of the Big 12 contract if they decide to leave? I just don't see Texas leaving the Big 12 in the foreseeable future. It'll be insane to fork over that kind of money just because of a little, bumpy patch.

We'll take everyone but Texas and let the Longhorns form their own NCAA

Send Mizzou to the B1G where they wanted anyhow. Add Clemson/FSU to the East and Texas to the West.

We could unite with our Yankee brethren

The SEC has no interest in Texas. They have a team in the Texas market. It's about markets. They want a VA team and a North Carolina team. The next SEC expansion will be VA/VA Tech and NC State.

Add Texas and OU, move Mizzou to the West, and Alabama and Auburn to East.

NO NO NO.

But I would bet Texas will want to join the SEC one day.

FSU needs to join though. I want those frickers to finally experience a REAL conference.

No brainer, yes. They are the richest program in the country. Any conference would be dumb to turn them down.

You're just being a contrarian. I know you remember all the Texas bullshite we dealt with.

I personally do not think UT is more trouble than they are worth. They would not be "special" in the SEC and would not be treated any differently than A&M (for example).

However, I do not want them now. They had there chance. They chose poorly IMO. The SEC does not need them, but they may just need the SEC if A&M and others start taking their recruits.

No thanks.

They can frick themselves, or the nearest longhorn steer, whichever has the larger arse.

We already have a footprint in Texas with A&M.

Will never happen. No way, no how.

If we ever do expand, it will be into NC and VA. Texas is done. They have the worst reputation, they are selfish, they are arrogant, and their attempts to sway and hold conferences hostage are well-known.

Love their "winningest team of the 90's!" claims. All while playing in a garbage conference, of which has the stature of Boise State's, and only being tested by an in-state rival.

A one-game season, essentially.

To be fair, Texas only ruined one conference. The SWC was Texas, A&M and Arky all saying eff this and the tag alongs like Tech and Baylor came with us.

No, no we would not!
We already have a conference member almost as annoying as Texas in Alabama, no need to add another program that truly believes that they are entitled to special treatment.

One Bama is enough, two would be more than the average SEC fan coyuld stomach!

Well, to be fair to FSU, they played insanely difficult schedules throughout the 80's and early 90's. Even tougher than most SEC schedules.

-UF yearly who was very good except for a short stretch right before Spurrier
- Auburn who was the best of the SEC through much of the 80's
- Da U who was DOMINANT
- ND who was still good-great during the 80's

FSU played 4 top ten teams a year for about a decade. Often 5. If they had played even a somewhat weaker schedule during that period, Bowden might have won 5 NCs. AU cost him one in 1990. ND cost him one and Miami cost him two.

The SEC was perfect the way that it was before adding TAMU and Mizzou. That was a dumb expansion. Adding Texas would be even more dumb.
