I know how you feel, bro. its just that its kind of a big deal for Ole Miss to come into Red Stick and knock the ball around like we are doing, and win a series. So when you act like a Bama football fan and whine and make excuses for the arse kicking, it sorta doesn't set well...You have a fine team, and the season has a lot more left. Let us enjoy this.

Yea I understand. A lot of baseball left in this game though and we have some momentum right now. I’m not giving up yet

Also, while the I still disagree with the premise of the Olenik call, we have played awfully and deserve to be losing. Didn’t mean it as an excuse at all

Unbelievable. We get all the momentum. Get within 5, and our pitcher walks in a run with 1 out. I’m fricking done

I think if you disallow players to wear all the protective gear, there won't be one single mf'er that isn't diving out of the way of an inside pitch.

Problem solved.

P.S. same goes for softball

That’s a pretty big safety concern I would think.

Not a bad idea but when someone can’t get out of the way and their elbow gets busted?

Then you're playing the kind of baseball that was played for decades before Barry Bonds made it cool to dress like Robo Cop at the plate.

Every sport’s safety technology has advanced though

Geez Garza just smoked that ball 405ft. We need a shutout inning here.

Welp I think that just about wraps this up.

Here comes Thomas “Juice” Dillard

A player has an obligation to get out of the way of the pitch. I did not see the play so I am not sure if that was the case. You can get plunked in the batters box and the ump does not have to award first base if he feels the player did not make an effort to avoid it

That isn't the rule anymore.

It's always fun to see people that don't keep up with rules changes act like they know what they're talking about.

Sure. I will now start instructing all of my players to hold their hands out over the plate just as far as it isn’t across the plate and move up and down and across to get hit by the pitch. You really don’t see a problem with that? It should be treated just like leaning in IMO

Lol wut? You do realize that could lead to a lot of broken fingers, right? No one is taught to go out of your way to take a pitch. If it comes right at you, great. Take the base. If it goes towards the head, duck. But no one puts their hands out there. That’s asking to end your season early.

He was just salty because an Ole Miss player got beaned on the hands so he wanted to bitch about a hypothetical exploitation of the rule that’d never happen in real life because of the obvious high risk of injury

Not like it would have mattered. We played terribly at the plate on Saturday and totally forgot how to pitch yesterday.
