Sure, I gave UGA a nod for trying to schedule but A) 40% of the time isnt like UGA has a marquee OOC year in year out and B) while they were scheduled while Clemson played for a natty its still not as difficult to play at a neutral site as it is to go on the road week 1 against defending national champ and current #2 team, period.
Its easy to say "just win the games" when 99% of other teams are not held to the same standard as they are not playing the same OOC SOS.

Just Bama gets that courtesy - Georgia would have never gotten the blown out in the SEC ship courtesy.
The fact that Texas was not even considered was bullshite and ND had a valid gripe as well. It is what it is.

2015 you opened with La Monroe at home and played no one.
2016 you opened in Atlanta against 8-5 UNC and then played no one
2017 you opened against App state in Atlanta then played Notre Dame #11 second week, good OOC
2018 you opened with Austin Pea and played no one after
2019 opened with Vandy but then 1st OOOC was Murray state, then played no one
2020 COVID
2021 Opened with #16 Clemson (North Carolina) then played no one
2022 opened at #16 Oregon then played no one
2023 Opened UT Martin then played no one
2024 Opened #14 Clemson (Atlanta) then no one
2015 - UGA played GT OOC. (3-9) 9 P5 opponents
2016 - UGA played UNC (8-5) and GT (9-4) OOC. 10 P5 opponents
2017 - UGA played ND (10-3) and GT (5-6) OOC. 10 P5 opponents.
2018 - UGA played GT (7-6) OOC. 9 P5 opponents.
2019 - UGA played Notre Dame (11-2) and GT (3-9) OOC. 10 P5 opponents
2020 - Covid... but UGA was scheduled to play UVA and GT OOC.
2021 - UGA played Clemson (10-3) and GT (3-9) OOC. 10 P5 opponents.
2022 - UGA played Oregon (10-3) and GT (5-7) OOC. 10 P5 opponents.
2023 - UGA played GT (7-6) OOC. 9 P5 opponentss.
2024 - UGA played Clemson (10-4) and GT (7-6) OOC. 10 P5 opponents.
2025 - UGA played GT (currently 9-3)
So... from 2015 to 2025... find me another team that has played 16 OOC games against P5 opponents in the regular season, 11 against teams with winning records and 5 (or 6 depending on GT's bowl this year) teams with 10+ wins.
I'll wait. But I'll give you a hint. No other team has done that.

You basically posted what I did and added GT, which other than 2016 and this year has been average (7 wins to bad 3 wins).
UGA chooses to play GT. I guess that could be your OOC every year and looks like it was. But don’t act like you play anyone anywhere all the time. You play at home or in Atlanta for almost all your OOC games and again none of those were playing a top 10 team. To my knowledge not a single one of those ended the season top 10.

As for if they finished in the top 10... no they generally don't because we BEAT THEM. In those 16 games (11 against teams with winning records and 5-6 against 10-win teams... UGA has lost ONE.
Would Oregon have been top 10 if they beat UGA in 2022? Clemson in 2021? They absolutely would have. I prefer the win over a team ranked 15th or 16th... because we won.
But the point is if you don't think UGA's scheduling OOC is the BEST in college football over the 2015-2025 window... find me a team who's got a better OOC schedule.
You won't be able to... because UGA actually has the best OOC of any team i college football over that stretch. And they'll continue to do so after dropping down to 3 OOC games because they'll still be playing 2 of those 3 games against P5 opponents the majority of the years (at least as scheduled right now).

Maybe, but we beat the nobodies.
I mean all you had to do was beat the Gators. Or us. You weren't good enough this year.

Sure, didn’t take any risk OOC but you did beat the nobodies. Problem is this isn’t a 4 team playoff, it’s a 12 team.
In a 4 team this argument is irrelevant and scheduling top 10 OOC matters, in a 12 team it should matter but it doesn’t. So kids playing top 10 matchups goodbye. Hell UGA just canceled playing 2 p4 teams this week for the future. Seems like your admin sees the writing on the wall too

also, this didn't start in 2015. In the prior years (post college football going to 12 regular season games), UGA has had home and homes with Colorado, Arizona State, Oklahoma State and Clemson (multiple times). We also had home and homes with TExas and OU that were cancelled due to them joining the SEC and have home and homes with FSU, OSU and Clemson (multiple times) in the next few upcoming years.
UCLA also cancelled a home and home with us for 2025 and 2026 at the last minute (which is why we only have 1 OOC P5 this year and next year).
We also had one-off games against BSU when they were good (twice),
UGA's scheduling isn't a new thing. Ever since we went to 12 regular season games, it's been exceptional and exceptionally consistent.

Haven't canceled Ohio State yet. Pretty sad to whine about SoS for a team that took you to the woodshed and has now beaten you 3 times in 2 years.
You win any one of those 3 and you are in. You didn't.

The OSU loss didn't hurt TexAss, the Florida loss and the Georgia beat down did.

Yes, UGA cancelled series with Louisville and NCSU because if they kept them after the SEC goes to 9 regular season conference games, they'd be playing all 12 of their games against P5 teams several years. The let go of Louisville and NCSU to keep series against FSU, OSU and Clemson. And they'll still be playing 11 of their 12 games most seasons against P5 teams.
How many years do you expect Texas to do that? Or any other SEC team?

And again... find me another team with better OOC schedules than UGA over the last 10 years (or 20 if you like).
The only team that WAS close was USC (thanks to their yearly ND game). But they've fallen off the last 5-6 years.

What about the SEC/ACC in-state rivalries?

If tweet fails to load, click here. So was this pre planned or did Ole Miss just say “Georgia’s a bunch of p*ssies, well played them”?

What’s that got to do with:
Ga./GT
Fl./FSU
SC/Clemson
Kent./Louisville

Look at Indiana’s schedule…

Everyone wanted 9 SEC games and I was always baffled by it.
The only reason to go to a 9 game schedule was so that it was more likely that a tiebreaker scenario would involve more head-to-head games. As it stood this year, four teams tied for first (Alabama, Georgia, Ole Miss, Texas A&M), and between those 4 there was only one head-to-head matchup (Alabama vs Georgia).
If we had maintained divisions, this wouldn't be a problem. You'd lose one of the cross-division games to make up for the extra division game. In that scenario we probably see Auburn (the most eastern of the west division teams) move to the SEC East, but otherwise little change.
9 games just means maintaining the 3 cross-division games instead of dropping one.

Mizz. would also move West.
If Auburn went East, who does Alabama play - Auburn or Tennessee?
East
Ga.
Fl.
SC
Tenn.
Vandy
Kent.
West
Miss.
MSU
LSU
Tex.
TA&M
Ok.
Ark.
Mizz.
Puts Ala. & Aub. in the East negating my game question above.
Then again, those new tie-breakers wouldn’t be needed.
