Sometimes you just have to get things off your chest. When Arkansas left the SWC in 1992, we didn't walk, we ran, to get away from Texas. I loved our rivalry with Texas, but the toxicity that all the SWC had to deal with at the time from UT made football not very fun at times. "How?" you ask. I wish I could explain it to you but I can't.

Many of the Big 12 current members refer to Texas as the "Evil Empire." I know my Texas ATM brethren understand this, and they are chastised for it, but all schools in the SEC will soon understand. I'm excited to have Oklahoma in the SEC, but Texas? I thought I was done with that.

They'll all find out here soon enough that the majority of the sip fan base acts like that Twitter troll Kyle Umlang.

A simple frick Texas would have sufficed.

You forget Missouri was in the same conference as Texas too.

OU doesn't count. They always dick ride Texas.

The SEC isn't gonna bend over for them like B12 and SWC did. There's a reason why the HQ is still in Birmingham.

For me it wasn’t just about longhorns, it was the entire state and schools. We were the red headed stepchild and were treated that way. Not just in football but in basketball as well. The list of screwings is too long to list but getting away from that crap was a wonderful thing and though we knew football was going to be brutal it was well worth it.

Though I didn’t want the texas schools in this conference, they won’t be able to dictate it like they did in the SWC.

Adding these 2 teams won’t change things very much imo, just a couple more games of interest for a little while.

Meh. I kind of view them as Nebraska 3.0. Not worried about them in the SEC. They have a soft culture and that’s not really going to change. And now they can’t control the league.

After a few years of them failing spectacularly they will be a laughingstock in the SEC with no power

Texas dominated you, and aggie, in every sport. You ran away like cowards and have sucked ever since.

Crazy to think that to a 13 year old, Texas AM has been more relevant than Texas in their lifetime…

They will soon find out Bama and UGA don’t give a frick about Texas. Bama has the clout and UGA is a huge state with resources who don’t give a frick.

The REC is licking their chops at these pretenders from Austin. They are about to find out who wears the pants at least with regards to football. They don’t have the country smarts or level of insanity to compete with the REC.
