That probably plays a role.
But the far bigger one is the complete and utter lack of investment in the program. They play in a sad little dump of a stadium and spend nothing on the program. If they built a new stadium (or significantly improved the current one), and actually threw some cash at coaching/facilities/etc., I think it could be a well-supported program.
For evidence to support that, look at our softball program. After building a brand new stadium and throwing some spend at the program, they are averaging the 5th highest attendance in the nation this season (despite being just 9-15 in the SEC), they were 6th last year (despite being just 6-18 in the SEC), and 4th in 2023-2024. They averaged 2,700+ per game that season compared to the baseball program at just 1,300.

“All-time series lead” is cute and all, but LSU has 8 national titles and 20 College World Series appearances. Alabama has 0 national titles and 5 CWS appearances. Last one being over 25+ years ago.
That’s the baseball equivalent of hanging a “we won more regular season games” banner.

For the record OU rpi was like 26 after the tenn loss and Tenn was still lower at 34 with the win the jumped 5 spots .

Not really. If Alabama had even one baseball national title, maybe the all-time record argument would hit harder. But bragging about regular season wins while sitting on 0 championships compared to LSU’s 8 is wild.

I know that alabama hasn't won a mens national title in 9 years, but youre putting too much weight on regular season statistics.
Again, I know thats all you have now, especially considering alabama hasn't won a mens title in almost 9 years, but have perspective. Regular season results aren't as important as titles.

It is hard, so hard, for LSU fans to effectively trash talk Alabama when LSU has a losing record against Alabama in football, basketball, and baseball.
