I don't know about #1. Didnt Oklahoma win 44 games in a row? If so , that's number 1.

47 games, and it was an amazing feat, but it wouldn't happen in the BCS era. No way in the world that OU team would have gone undefeated even two years in a row if they had to play a legit nonconference schedule, a conference championship, and then a BCS bowl.

Lucky!
Schedule easier than most--no UGA, no USC, no UF.
Okie St win 2011, no redo.
No last second LSU missedAssignment, no this year.
10 more seconds, UGa wins 2012 champ.
PP7 interception 2009, no 09 champ

I don't know why you'd count 08.
Really have to wait to see how we do in 2013, if Bama wins 4 out of 5 it will be the best run in college football history.
3 out of 4 will probably be the second best run in CFB history, second to Nebraska.Arguably could be better than Nebraska, they seemed to be more dominant but they didn't have to play as hard of a schedule either.

Not so fast my friend. I do believe Bama will win, but Notre Dame will be fired up and will put up a fight.

I don't know enough about every school in the country's history, but I don't see any way it COULDN'T be top 5. Just from what I do know, it'll be hard for me to top Nebraska from 94-97. 3 national titles in 4 years including the greatest team of all time that just stomped a mudhole in everybody. Also don't forget that 93 Nebraska team lost in the national title by a FG to florida state.

Top 2. Neb goat. If won this and next year would eclipse the universe.

We played UF in 2010 and 2011. We played USC in 2009 and 2010. We played a 1-loss UGA this year to earn our way to the BCSNCG.
Wow, your argument is already starting to look as stupid as you are.

Oh, so you're just gonna give yourself the game based on a non-call that wouldn't have put you anywhere near the end zone? You're so stupid you probably don't even realize it.

Where does their run , from 08-present,rank as far as CFB program's runs?
If we win: best ever for Bama. Not sure where that puts it in the big picture. Pretty damn high, prolly.

Heared on F-Bomb that Bama was the #1 pick for 13. When will it end?

I would rank it in the top five.
Nebraska's run in the nineties is at the top. Hands down no question. The 95 team was the greatest college football team in history. Their closest game was three touchdowns.
Oklahoma's 47 straight was also impressive, but as has been said here, probably wouldn't happen in the modern era. That being said, it can't be dismissed.
As much as I hate USC, their run was also pretty impressive, though probably not on the level of Alabama should the Tide win this year.

Oklahoma did win 47 in a row. And Notre Dame broke that streak.
