So yeah.. could someone that is complaining create a schedule for Texas that you think is fair each year during the entire rotation?

Oklahoma = Perm 1
Texas A&M = Perm 2 (if needed)
Arkanasas = Perm 3 (if needed)

I will!

G1. At Oregon
G2. At OSU
G3. Alabama
G4. At Georgia
G5. Tennessee
G6. South Carolina
G7. LSU
G8. Penn State
G9. Texas A&M
G10. At Ole Miss
G11. Oklahoma
G12. At SMU

I think I made out a pretty good schedule for Texas.

ETA
I should have said you get no off weeks.

Congrats on waking from your coma, and welcome back to the world!

Just so you know, it was announced months ago this seasons schedules would remain the same but with Home/away flipped.

But once again, congrats!

Make it happen.. y'alll would still complain.

So 4 tough OOC games + Oklahoma

6 Kentucky or Ole Miss
Cats won by 3

7 Arkansas or Tennessee
Hogs won by 5

8 Vanderbilt or Alabama
Vols won by 5

9 Auburn or Texas A&M
Tigers won by 2

10 Florida or LSU
Gators won by 7

11 Missouri or South Carolina
Tigers had the lead until 15 seconds left

12 Miss State or Georgia
I'll concede this matchup, but the Dawgs only won by 10.

At Ohio State to open will be a loss

I wouldn't count on that. tOSU loses a lot after this season, they'll be braking in a fresh QB and might even have a new coach.

At Florida is a toss up

I'm actually pumped for this game. Lagway vs Manning. 2 top 5 QBs in 2025.

quote:

OU will be much better

New QB, new OC, losing foundational pieces on defense and their wide receiver room is going to be worse. They will be 6-6 again, maybe 7-5 if the OL gets better.

Last 3 of at UGA
Arkansas
A&M

This is where the schedule gets tougher. Georgia followed up by 2 rivals. We will lose 1 of these games.

I would love that schedule IF SOS was respected.

At the end of the day it’s entertainment and I’d love to play that many legit teams. No one likes watching their team play a G5 or lowly P4 team

This is why all teams need to rotate through all other teams. No permanent rivalries.

That's what we actually have this year. Teams just randomly tossed together with no "official" permanent opponents.

You see how terrible that could be long term with wildly random schedule difficulty year to year?

If you want true "fairness" then you need "pods" that form into "divisions" where each member of the "division" plays the same schedule.

Pods keeps rivalries for the most part and when your pod rotates to play another pod to form a division, the entire division plays the exact same schedule.

This is the only way to bring pure fairness to each division and give clear division winners and a championship game that is never a rematch.

Since SOS doesn't matter to the playoff committee....this should be combined with a 7 game SEC schedule.

Pods consist of 4 teams.....say for instance...UTx, aTm, OU, Mizzou is a pod. They always play each other conserving and creating rivalries.

They would rotate to play another pod every 2 years, forming a division of 8 teams.

That creates a 7 game conference schedule where you play all other schools every 6 years.

If UTk wants to play Bama every single year and they aren't in a pod together, schedule it as a non conference game that doesn't count in SEC standings.....giving them 8 SEC games (same as now) where one is treated as nonconference matchup.

This needs to be done as soon as possible.

Thats cool, I just don't want teams to be forced to play certain teams EVERY year. No permanent rivalries.

But UGA fans don’t seem to complain about the SEC championship in Atlanta every year and two of the playoff games there too. How convenient is that omission when they complain about schedules?

More SEC fans should support rotating venues. Not just Texas fans.

We always schedule difficult out of conference games (2023 at Bama, 2024 at Michigan, 2025 at Ohio State). We joined the SEC. At this point, if you have a complaint about our schedule, it is time to blame the 'powerhouses' like UF, Michigan and OU who completely suck when we play them.

We also have to play the SEC championship in Georgia again next year so thats another away game.

"THEY" might, but I wouldn't.

But, no. You can't change the games or bring up the game or games those teams failed at. There are no guarantees they would fail against Texas....I mean, I think Texas was the favorite to beat Georgia both times, so we know that upsets happen. But, I am beginning to think that Texas fans struggle with a sense of humor as my posts were meant to be funny?

How convenient was it when LSU gets to play in the Sugar Bowl?

And you do understaand that two playoff games are not always played in Atlanta, right?

I mean there are playoff games played in New Orleans. Do you complain when there is a playoff game there and a National Championship game played there, too? Of course not. But, LSU has to make it that far first, just like Georgia has to play, win and make it to all those games in Atlanta. The biggest difference I see is that Georgia seems to be making it to these games far more regularly than LSU is.

Well, Saban is gone and Debeor isn’t a dominating personality nor is Kirby, so Texass is taking over. Money talks and bs walks.

We knew they were going to get the same easy group of teams. We didnt know they would make sure to give Texas a bye week for UGA.

You understand that the 2019 Championship that LSU won was played in New Orleans, right? Home Game. No wonder lSU won.

We don't have a home Conference home game until November .

A&M plays Samford before us while we play Arky

OU plays Kent State before us while we play florida

Florida has a bye before us

Our schedule is much more difficult next year

You did somehow get to land a bye before playing us while we're coming back from a road game.
