I know, how did they miss Billy Napier?!

Yet he has a winning record against L2U.

Dabo may have not done much the last couple of years, but he is an extremely great coach. He doesn’t get the recruits the Texas, Bama, Georgia and LSU’s get and he’s won more titles than Texas has in 40 years, as many as Georgia and LSU in that same time frame. I honestly wish Bama had him

I know he’s dabbled at this point but if he went all in on the portal I think clemson could rise back up pretty quickly. Especially in the 12 team format. ACC is weaker (not their fault) and whole new season if you make it.
They already made it this past season without using it.

Day doesn't deserve to be that high. Two losses and one to a 5 loss Michigan team and wouldn't have even been in the playoffs a season earlier when it was still 4 teams. A junk team helped by a junk system = a junk champion.

Where did On3 have Nick Saban ranked when TideSaint posted “frick Nick Saban”?

1. Dabo
2. Kirby
3. Sark
These 3 stand alone in that they've demonstrated the ability to either build a program from the ground up or elevate one to a level it hadn't been at in decades. The jury is still out on Brian Kelly, he's never done it at a true P5 school, and no Notre Dame where you get to pick your entire schedule doesn't qualify. DeBoer is currently a flash in the pan and Day hasn't done anything but inherit what Urban/Tressell built, but credit to him for keeping it going
Cignetti and Chip Kelly are also borderline top 5, assuming the latter eventually takes another job. Gundy is up there too, but he may be checking out

He is a darn good coach. How he ever rallied his troops after that devastating loss is phenomenally impressive. Most teams would have folded. And to beat all 4 teams, 3 in the top 5, by double digits is very, very impressive. The guy is 70-10 and has the 2nd best winning % in CFB history.

Is it though? It wasn’t devastating, and it’s not hard to motivate players to win a national championship.

Probably #1.
Still doesn't excuse his horrendous in-game decision making that night in Baton Rouge.
Y'all quote me like I'm ashamed of what I said. My opinion hasn't changed on the situation.
fricking dumbasses.

The top 10 list is always a snapshot, not a 2-hour movie.

Dabo may have not done much the last couple of years, but he is an extremely great coach
Dabo gets slept on for being goofy but he is a big pic guy. When he started his run, saban was in classic saban form……devastating run D, game manager qb, and several horses at rb. Everyone immediately copied sabans blue print and most failed bc you aren’t going to out saban saban(Kirby has made it work and is the top coach but needed the back end of sabans career to fully emerge). Dabo recognized no one would beat saban playing sabans game so he changed it, he went and got stud receivers, a mobile qb, brought in a hs coach to run hunh, and big 12 dc(he saw which way the game was trending and stopping the pass was about to be very important). He saw it before anyone else. Which is wild bc his current downward trend is largely facilitated by him resisting change.

Dabo should still be top 3. 4 national championship appearances with 2 victories in 5 years is extremely impressive. And he did this is at a mid tier program in an era when nobody except for blue bloods could compete for titles. He is easy to dislike but he’s an elite coach

Kelly’s been a really good coach throughout his entire career at Notre Dame and LSU. But make no mistake, LSU expects titles and Kelly has yet to get to the CFP with the Tigers. But he could get there as long as he continues to win on the recruiting trail and nail specific transfers. Don’t sleep on Kelly keeping this LSU program afloat in the upper tier of the SEC.
Spot on. If being "a really good coach" excludes the ability to win a big game.
