This might be the best that the conference has ever been from top to bottom.
it’s like the SEC in baseball where you don’t know who could steal a series. Preseason there were a lot of people harping on watch out for Florida and Lagway. they were #13 2 weeks ago and that is going to be the 2nd to worst team in the conference in power rankings this week.

Poor UK and Stoops a clear #16 but even they could probably hang with teams in the top 25 like Utah, Indiana, Iowa St, etc

I will say, Mizzou is better than some of them schools ahead of us

I would rank them ahead of us. I'm not sure Auburn belongs in the top 25 yet. Maybe, time will tell. We are improved, and could be a legit 12-17 by season's end, but we aren't there yet. I'd probably put Vandy ahead of us right now too.

UT should be moved up and UGA, right now, is the best team I have seen in the conference. bama is getting their act together.

Voters moving LSU that high after beating Clemson might go down in history as one of the worst knee jerk Week 1 reactions of all time.

Stuggling to score 24 against cupcakes, failing to put away an awful Florida team, then thinking their defense is all-time when Lagway is a turnover ATM machine is classic coonass delusion.

How can they keep ND ranked at 0-2

Because they’ve played the only 2 teams on their schedule with a pulse and will be 10-2 and a playoff team because they bring a massive audience to the table and it’s all about the money.

Yeah, if you ranked every team in the FBS, you'd still end up with Kentucky in the 45-65 range. There's not that big of a gap.

ND gonna be higher than #24

Brett’s AP poll usually aligns pretty closely to the national poll. He has A&M at #7, ND at #14

ND’s other loss was to #4 Miami so that’s how they’re keeping them relevant. “GOOD LOSSES”

LINK

ETA: FYI also has 12 SEC teams ranked, Bama is his 12th ranked SEC team being the lowest on his poll at #25

Why do we post about AP, literally no bearing on anything

The number you see next to each team each week, that’s the AP poll. Has a lot of bearing on perception and brand exposure and that includes perception on the minds of CFP voters when their time comes

No the coaches poll does

That is ultimately what will be in line for the CFP committee

That will all change big time once the true cannibalization begins in earnest.

If we are going to move teams around based on results, as we did for LSU week 1, Georgia should jump LSU and Aggie should be the top ranked SEC team. Vanderbilt has a better case than LSU at this point. Bit those AP folks will never admit they were wrong.

Maybe Georgia shouldn’t have played Marshall week 1 then you wouldn’t have been jumped.

And Aggy is an interesting take. So their win on the road over a winless #8 ND is that much more impressive than LSU’s road win over #4 1-2 Clemson? Odd reasoning.

Rankings are still pretty much meaningless until we get more games played.

But your butthurt over LSU being #3 over UGA is duly noted.
