There was this coach named Saban who came to LSU and none of his staff from Mischigan State came with him. It turned out well.

As a Bama fan, it sure did. He won 6 NC’s at Bama and owned LSU. He broke LSU, physically, mentally, and emotionally.

A head coach would never leave LSU for another college job

If/when the Alabama job opens and if they target Lane as their next head coach, then come back and answer that question again. I'm pretty sure you'll be changing your answer.

Yeh- I don’t think it says much about Kiffin’s future.

I think this is actually good for LSU long-term. To the extent that OM is decent, you have a chance to finally turn the OM- LSU game into an epic hero-villain matchup that everyone will watch.

Disney must be loving the possibilities of building this up.

Not to mention he left MSU in November of 1999, leaving MSU before their bowl game and after their best season in 35 years.

What a piece of shite.

Yep. Shows what a great guy Lane is. He's letting the staff coach through the playoffs. He cares about the players at OM and didn't want to leave them rudderless.
