What this whole Lane Kiffin saga has taught us all is that not only does LSU feel inferior to Alabama, they also feel inferior to Ole Miss.

You are and should be! You have Pete "Booger" Golden as your head coach. Regardless of whether Chambliss is allowed to play (he will be), he won't have the same coaches nor the same supporting staff in players.
Oh, I think you'll be fine next year as you have a favorable schedule and you'll have a halo effect from Kiffin's influence and structure. Beyond that, it will soon be runt status again under Pete.
