OM Law Degree and Dangerous Precedence

At one point the most serious objection made by the NCAA counsel, was in reference to Chambliss’ attorney stating it’s not Trinidad’s fault he didn’t know the rules. Referring to 2022 season and needing to file proper paperwork.
The judge overruled the NCAA objection. “It’s okay that he didn’t know NCAA rules and procedures.”
If that’s true this precedence can be used for many future scenarios.
The judge would go on after to challenge many legal and valid questions posed by the NCAA counsel.
After it’s all said and done. Trinidad had medical issues being non typical because the injury or conditions he had were not caused by football playing. He definitely was not “healthy” to play. I think granting him a year eligibility is fair
I think the fact this went to a courtroom, with a bias judge, and “down the road” from Oxford is the issue people should take.
The NCAA is in trouble. They need to reign in control. Because what’s down the road is every single waiver that is denied will eventually end up in court.

The same judge who deliberated for an hour but it took him two hours to read the judgement “he had just decided on”
You could tell from the NCAA lawyers laughing and eventually leaving that the whole thing was just another shitty Ole Miss tailgate

Good for Ole Miss. They should have no excuse not to be good. I don’t think they have the same offensive success. But hey players play and coaches coach.
If LSu beats them at home in September, there ought to be zero excuses. Also OM should provide extra law enforcement because those fans will likely throw objects at LK

The judge came into the court room drinking coffee out of an Ole Miss coffee mug. Nothing was hidden.
I think you're all just mad that Ole Miss played this like a big boy.

OM had a case! The judge should recuse himself. The judge at one point said it is okay that Trinidad didn’t know the rules.
If you and I don’t know a law, and we unfortunately break that law. Could we tell a judge, based on Chambliss vs NCAA 2025 this doesn’t matter

The only thing that happened yesterday that was unexpected was Joe Judge, out of nowhere, claiming women who are impregnated by athletes should raise the child by themselves
What a fricking moron.

I am kind of torn on this. I want Ole Miss to have a good season, but we are getting ridiculous with all the players wanting extra years. Also I guess it is a little hypocritical of me since it took me 9 years to grad...well almost graduate.

I actually agree on the extra years. It's ridiculous. It's just my belief that Chambliss really was eligible for another one.
It's odd that in a year when guys got granted 7th, 8th, and 9th seasons, everyone decided to key in on a kid seeking a 4th season on the field, thought he had a medical redshirt already, and was simply seeking the NCAA to recognize the medical redshirt that he thought he already had.

Went to youth group with the kid last night. I'm out of the SEC footprint but everyone knows I'm a SEC fan. All of the CFB fans I talked to last night just thought the whole thing was ridiculous. Nothing but a dog and pony show.

Just wait until the NCAA extracts their revenge by hammering ole miss on Dumbo's tampering allegations.
They're gonna hit ya'll with a level 1 because of the $$$$ Golding texted over.

If they lose that case then it will truly be the Wild West because players will be able to transfer at any point and there will be no more portal windows. The NCAA doesn’t want that smoke

Hell, LSU fans have been melting about Ole Miss since the end of November. At some point, I reckon they'll stop. Maybe when baseball season gets good.

If only this type of shite was typical in the real world.
So hey, every UGA football player should use that when they get stopped for speeding. Just tell the judge "I didn't now the rules."
