It’s one thing to troll but if you actually think Golding is better than or at lanes level then you really are retarded
Well, if they beat Tulane he’ll have a playoff win and Lane won’t.

We have no idea if he’ll be a good HC or not. We’ll find out in the next 10 months or so.

Yes, with the buyout for Kiffin from LSU, thanks.

Yeah I don't think is as straight forward as that but whatever

Sark and DeBust are both making over $10M a year. Any nattys?

I think 6 is probably too much for Golding. Dan Mullen and Rich Rodriguez are experienced coaches with solid results and make about 3.5 million at UNLV and WVU respectively.

I think putting a first time head coach at nearly double that feels a bit too much.

It shouldn't be that the job pays X... but rather that the coach is worth X.

I agree that I think Pete is getting paid too much. However, Dan Mullen is getting paid that at UNLV because it’s UNLV. It’s not as big of a job and there’s less to manage.

Paying a guy who couldn't/wouldn't even get an interview at Southern Miss 7 million dollars is a choice. Ole Miss and Carter got fleeced.

At least when we got forced to hire our DC (who wasn't head coach material) we basically made him the interim in all but name. This is hilarious.

And Ole Miss fans will chime in saying, "It'S a CoMpeTiTvE sAlArY." Stupid logic. No one wanted him.

His defense wasn't even that great this year.

His D gave up 20 points a game this season. That's just 2 PPG more than Blake Baker who LSU has somehow anointed as the chosen one on that side of the ball. And last season Golding's defense led the conference in scoring D at 14 PPG. It was Lane and CWjr's offense that shite the bed and caused us to lose 3 games.

Vandy doesn’t disclose coaching salaries but rumor has it Clark Lea’s salary was raised to around 6.5 million. That’s not chump change but puts him on the lower end of the spectrum because of college football insanity. Going forward I most certainly pray that Vandy remains competitive and we never return to the old self. I believe that requires a commitment to excellence but not an act of football worship which can and will cloud moral judgement. Kiffin leaving Ole Miss for a bigger stage and salary is a case in point. In my opinion it damages not just Mississippi, but could harm LSU too.
