That was a really good Iowa State team.
One of the more physically dominant teams in the Big 12 this season. And a middle of the pack SEC Team shot lights out and clamped down on their future lottery pick and made them look pedestrian. At least 3 of the Final 4 Teams will be SEC teams. Maybe all of them.

He sure is a good coach. Big kick to the nads when Texas had to let him go.
Did Beard ever dump that crazy woman he was shacked up with? That drunk witch opened her yap in front of police and ruined everything. She tried like hell to walk it back, but her gravy train left in handcuffs.

I honestly don’t know if they’re together or not. She has been a ghost since he showed up. I would be willing to bet Carter told him when he was hired “if she steps one foot into Oxford city limits then you’re fired”

Auburn wasn't much better before Pearl and you've been able to hang onto him.
For most of my life(in the 10 team SEC), Auburn, Georgia, and Ole Miss were the worst 3 teams.
I never thought I’d see all 3 make NCAA tourney the same year and 2 advance to Sweet 16.
I guess the SEC revenue is so much that we all invest in more than football.
Beard and Pearl are winning at places nobody used to want to coach.
14 teams in the tournament.
7 in final 4.
So many great players and coaches.

Only game I went to in Oxford was LSU Ole Miss around 1988-1990.
Gerald Glass had like 39 and Chris Jackson had 50.
I think Ole Miss won.
Very entertaining game.
When I was a student at Auburn. In the early 1980s, Beard Eaves was only full for Kentucky and Alabama. Student ID got you in to any game. I went to most IF I did not have a lab at 6 pm-9 window. We were on quarters then, classes in the morning for me, labs in afternoon and evening.
Now it looks like it is harder to get a basketball ticket as a student than a football ticket to the Alabama game in Birmingham was back in the day as a freshman.

The same Kiffin who turned you down? I guess you're happy with our rejects.
He’s just mad that we won the last two football games back to back and they have to sit in it bc we don’t play them again next year. Haha.

He's mad because Kiffin turned down more money from both Arkansas and Auburn to be at Ole Miss.

Happy for Ole Miss' historic win. Don't stop now!

2nd ever appearance in the Sweet 16. that's actually pretty hard to accomplish being that bad.
Hope we get Michigan State and take down another top program.
I did not realize the historical was that bad for UM. I picked yall to beat MSU in my bracket and then lose to Auburn, but the Rebels have played some great games this year...like so many, it's just whichever team shows up that night. Definitely have a puncher's chance to make the Final Four IMO.

my daughter (no pics) is in her junior year at Auburn. Before she left for Auburn to start her freshman year I asked her if she knew who the Auburn football coach was - she had no clue (Harsin at the time). I then asked her if she knew who the basketball coach at Auburn was - she responded "it's Bruce Pearl, everybody knows that!"
My, have times changed on the Plains!
