They will tell you it is not that he left and it is HOW he left
How he left maybe added fuel to the fire, but there is not chance on earth they would have ever not hated Kiffin, their most successful modern era coach, for leaving them to go to an in conference rival, especially LSU. We all know it. Also to be fair, I get it, because pretty much all of us would feel the same way. It is not something unique to Ole Miss

Good post. Still, I don't get caught up in this. If someone doesn't want to be at Ole Miss, then they can go. I guess my type of opinion is increasingly rare, though. But still, good post.

Ole Miss fans like to believe that their corner of the planet is “special.”
And they want you to believe it too. But very few people really believe that. Most people see it as backward and unappetizing.
They hounded LK over and over again about his interest in LSU and the possibility of leaving. The dummies don’t understand that they’re just going to get told exactly what they’re wanting to hear, even if it’s not true.
You got dumped and it was very public. Even embarrassing.
Same with Saban being asked about his next possible job. Stop asking them. They’re only going to tell you what you’re wanting to hear.
Maybe they stay. Maybe they go. You’ll find out when they decide, but you’ll never know their true feelings.
