Great season for Ole Miss, but the better team won.

I mean Miami was great but not infallible. They lost to SMU and Louisville. Who did Ole Miss lose to?

Cope

Miami would have been the SEC champion. They could have been undefeated if they could have replaced SMU and Louisville with any of Ark-SC-TN-Mo-KY, etc.

They already have played Ole Miss and A&M. 2 is about the number of "tough" conference games most SEC teams play.

They got destroyed in every statistical category and Miami dropped no less than 4 picks including a pick 6. Ole Miss banked in a field goal from 50 yards.

It should have been an easy 3 TD win for Miami

That is irrelevant, Miami controlled the game and won in the head to head. If not for self inflicted mistakes it’s a blow out. They were the better team clearly. What happened earlier in the season is irrelevant.

Then why didn't they?

- They didn’t run the ball enough, because OM couldn’t stop it. .
- 1 turnover that killed at least a FG
- 1 missed FG
- Penalties killed one drive and extended and OM scoring drive.
- 5,000 dropped interceptions

Lacy and the hamstring made the difference

Well Miami lost both starting cornerbacks.
