Clark looked good, but the level of competition and speed he was playing against was much slower. I honestly was impressed with the USC transfer. It’s a good problem to have…no matter what or who it is we can count on the backup qb being the most popular player to the fan base.

10 just based on excitement he brought to the program in the past. He turned a dead program into a consistent tournament team in his short tenure here. He had elite recruiting classes (strong arse offer), he had fire on the court as a coach, and put butts in the seats. You have to think he’s going to bring that same fire, but amplified this go round. I don’t think he’s the best coach in the country by any means, but LSU basketball isn’t the draw some of us homers think it is. He’s a great fit here and is exactly what we need right now with how dead the programs been the last 4 years.

He made it to the tournament right away. We’re 4 years in and have 0 tournament appearances and one of the losingest coaches in SEC play in LSU history.

Yall really want a coach who never coached a team to the second round?
First off he has. Secondly, he at least brought in elite talent and had the PMAC rocking. He also had us in the tournament. We currently have a coach that hasn’t had us in the tournament in 4 years. He’s one of, if not, the losingest coach in LSU history, especially if you look at SEC play. The program is dead, and LSU basketball isn’t exactly a historical power house that has elite coaches lining up, so yes I’d take Wade back in a heartbeat. If nothing else it would be exciting. If you want to get technical Lane Kiffin has never won anything substantial as a head coach and look at the recruiting class and excitement around the football program currently.
After she made that 3/4 court shot going into the half I knew it was over. French Settlement had all the momentum after they started slow. They were shook up in the 1st quarter after a starter went down with a torn ACL just a few minutes in. French settlement did a great job of slowing down the WestLake Freshman that is very good. Stella Allison is a beast. She now has a state championship in Softball and basketball.
I’d wait till later in the season and hunt him, after he’s probably bred those hens, but just like he showed up this spring after them hens have been around, I’m sure another would next spring.
New pond construction advice for future trophy bass management
Posted by Dylan on 2/6/26 at 3:32 pm
We are currently clearing some land next to the interstate in the Albany area to build a new business. We need some dirt to raise spots and build a pad for our store and our shop. We are outdoorsmen so we figured why not make the most out of what we’re doing and try to make this pond the best a small pond can possibly be for trophy bass one day. I’ve watched a lot of videos and I know structure will be a key part, stocking, managing by culling fish, getting plenty bait through stocking and all that, but I was surprised how similar it is to foodplots as far as liming and fertilizing it to promote optimal plankton growth.
Where I’m at right now is we’re about to start digging. The pond will only be roughly an acre so what is the optimal layout or shape to make the pond. Well obviously have the middle dug as deep as we can for dirt, but would like to create different depths and underwater step ups and channels to give bass places to ambush bait, but also places for bait to get away from bass and spawn.
Is there any pond biologist I should call before we break ground? I know you can only do so much with a small pond, but we’d like to optimize it to be as good as it can be.
Thanks

You mean the coach who just said he got fired and ended up with a better job?
re: With all the new WR coming in, who is our #1?
Posted by Dylan on 1/24/26 at 5:27 pm to LSUPilot07
The Hawaii WR could be a real contender.
Somewhere “JEST A GAME” is melting after posting in every thread that he’s not coming here.
They said the same thing with Sam Leavitte.
They said the same thing about Kiffin not coming because it’s taking too long.
Our fan base is the kings of overreacting!

We filled our biggest needs with the best available

Our biggest needs were QB, Oline (tackle in particular), and edge. We literally got the number one player for each of these positions, along with a lot of other quality players! Insane what Lane has done in such a short time!

I agreed when he left his visit. He's gone
BUMP for you chicken little negatiger. Him and Sam both left, but still committed to the good guys!
He’s the definition of a negatiger and has to be miserable to be around. If Seaton commits he’ll be like we got him, but we paid him way too much, we could’ve gotten 3 in state kids for what we’re paying him.

He's not coming to Lsu
He may not be, but no one truly knows for sure. The fact your last 20+ post have been the exact same thing about “he’s not coming here” or “since he left without signing he won’t be here” shows that you’re an obsessive negatiger. You’re not bringing anything to the board posting the same thing in every thread. Do you know we signed players that visited and then left without signing while here? Do you know how many people on here said “we’ll never fire BK” “we’ll never hire LK”, the fact of the matter is none of us know.

He was gone when he left Baton rouge. Face it move on
You probably said the same thing when our QB1 left.

Move on already
Do you wish LSU would’ve moved on from Sam Leavitte? Moved on from Caden Durham when he put his name in the portal? Should we have moved on and not recruited Leonard Fournette because he took visits to other schools and made us wait before picking us? It’s not your time or money so if our head coach thinks the player is important enough to wine and dine, chase, recruit, offer a bunch of money then he’s obviously important. ANY kid that’s elite you have to recruit heavily and put time in, because every other school in the country is trying to get them also. It’s recruiting. The days of players coming to a school for pride are over, they’re going to go to whoever offers the most money and gives them the best chance to succeed and get to the league.
To take the number 1 qb and number 1 LT in year one of a coaching change is huge. Those are also the 2 positions we were most in need of.

Def will but im big on berry being a great back in this offense. Rather have him over lacy in 2026
I know I’m in the minority and I’m a big fan of Berry, but I just can’t understand anyone saying they’d rather Berry over the top rb in the SEC last year, and one of the top in the country. He proved he’s a work horse that can handle a lot of carries, secures the ball, and even with a ton of carries and going deep in the playoffs playing top teams he still averaged more YPC then Berry. KL is proven, we know what he can do. Berry is going off potential. Now, I’m very happy with our rb room and very happy to get Durham back. He had as much hype or even more after his freshman year than Berry has gotten after this season. So I wouldn’t sleep on him being Rb1 if healthy. He has better ball security, better in blitz pick up, and has more experience. Either way, it’s a good problem to have. We went from a paper thin rb room last year to quality depth this year.
