The fact that the SEC divisional tiebreakers don’t include ranking or overall record is batshit.

It would be just as bullshite if Ole Miss got the nod because they played GT instead of FSU or Texas like LSU and Bama did. OOC schedules between teams vary way too much and don't count towards conference standings, hence they aren't factored into conference tiebreakers.

Let’s say there’s a miracle and Kiffin and the boys win out. But bad things happen and Ole Miss gets left out of the playoff at 11-1 with a loss to Bama and a win in Athens over the defending back-to-back champs. 1) Ole Miss wins out and LSU beats Bama so there’s a three-way tie atop the SEC West at 7-1. Then the champion is determined by the conference record of each team’s eastern division opponents. 2) Bama or LSU represent the SEC West in the title game with a worse overall record because Ole Miss played winless Vandy out of the East. Rebs still hang the banner. 3) 2-loss LSU or Bama knock off UGA and claim a spot in the playoffs (this is Georgia’s nightmare too now) 4) Three P5 conference champions go undefeated or suffer only one loss. 5) Rebs’ most successful season in the past 50 years is rewarded with a trip to a NY6 bowl. 6) Kiffin takes the open Florida job before the bowl game and Ole Miss loses. 11-1 regular season. No trophies, only sadness.

Now I realize I’ve been looking at this all wrong. Before I wanted ole miss to lose just to get them out of the way.

Now I realize my mistake.

I need this to happen

Tulane could beat LSU this year if they played.

No one wants OM in the playoffs.

They can't draw flies in terms of viewership.

If any Ole Miss fans want to put a little money on whether they make the playoffs, I'm game.

You'll get no action from them on that one.

Like I said, they are dreaming.

A better bet would be the over/under on when Kiffin splits that shitehole.

Don’t have a prestige-program fanbase but people tune in to watch Kiffin.

10-2 with losses to Bama and Georgia on the road would be a lock for a 12-team tournament too.

Ole Miss doesn't have to win the West to make the playoffs.
