How will it get interesting? They're about to give him a 4 year (or 6, really) guaranteed salary of $9 MM / yr, with a $2 MM raise, just to be able to wave around a contract that they think makes them a big boy. Kiffin won't be feeling any pressure at all. And their people think that the big buyout clause that's supposedly in his new contract only kicks in if he leaves. They don't think they have to pay that same buyout clause if they try and fire him. At least the idiots on their 247 board think that.

We return Judkins and Dart with $10M to spend on the transfer portal. I think we’ll be fine.

Come on now, Auburn and Ole Miss aren’t on the same level, everyone knows this. It’s one of the reasons Kiffin was desperate to leave.

It certainly looks like ole miss may regret giving him his latest contract.

Kiffin without Corrall may be the most expensive 7-5 coach in the country short of Jimbo Fisher.

This saga came about because a lower tier program tried to compete with an upper tier program.

The heat gets turned up hotter if the Pirate has a big year next year. I see Kiffin trying to leave after next season.

Honest question, who do you think developed Corrall? Kiffin, or Matt Luke?

That’s a pretty big if. Leach hit his ceiling this year, it’s year 3 with his QB. He’ll have to wait 3 more years before he gets another shot at a ceiling year.

Dart won't beat anyone with his arm, and Arnett showed the blueprint for handling Judkins. You won't sneak up on anyone next year

Just looking at schedules, I think the Pirate has a much better year than Kiffin next year.

Corrall was an nfl talent, without him ole miss looks like a team that lost 4 out of their last 5 games and finished the season unranked.

The media won’t be kind to Kiffin next year when he starts playing a difficult schedule. I think he tries to leave again, probably back to the west coast.

Ok, so there isn’t anything else to discuss then

Tiffin is a decent coach but he outthinks himself in games. How many SEC games has his go for it on 4th down crap coast Ole Miss this year and last year? Three? Four?

Did you watch the Arkansas and miss state games ? He was clearly out coached on both sides of the ball.

His coordinators last season along with Matt Corrall won their games. Thus my question ? In a great self promoter and a mediocre coach ? I think he may be. Next season will be very revealing.

Amazing a lower tier program would overpay him out of desperation to be relevant. Sexton played off their insecurities perfectly.

Either you’re kidding or a moron. Arkansas’ RB rushed for 230 yards. It’s really hard to lose football games when your RB puts on a clinic.

Ole Miss had 2 different 200+ yard rushers in the same game

His offense was shut down completely by miss state and really piled up garbage stats against Arkansas after it was 42-5 Arkansas in the third quarter.

The defense is atrocious. I don’t think Arkansas or MSU have a talent advantage. It’s a coaching issue.

To be fair, that might be the only time in history that such a thing has happened in a loss

Haha I did a triple take checking the box stats. I wasn’t able to watch the game but did not notice that when checking post game

Ole Miss hasn’t had production out of the TE all year due injuries. Our OL got their shite pushed in on top of that. Ole Miss also had no DL pressure. The battle of trenches was lost all year. On top of that Dart had no WR production all year. He ran for his life all year and when he needed a target there wasn’t one.

So tell us more of all you seem to know about Ole Miss lack of success.

How much did losing the oc and dc from last season hurt ? How much of it was just inheriting an nfl qb in Corrall ?

It sounds like Auburn dodged a bullet here

Serious question, with a front loaded schedule of cupcakes, just how overrated is this team and Kiffin ?

This was a serious rebuild/reload and if you’d have told me 8-4 at the beginning of the season I would have been pretty pumped about it. All that said, if win our bowl game and finish in the top 25 it would be hard not to consider it a really good season, with tons of talent coming back next year.
