How much did losing the oc and dc from last season hurt ?

I know you’re a disingenuous moron but replacing Jeffy Lebby with Charlie Weiss Jr isn’t exactly an upgrade. Also replacing Durkin with no one hurt too.

It sounds like Auburn dodged a bullet here

Yep they sure did…..with choice:

#1 Kiffin

choice

#2 Fresus

choice

#3 Fickle

choice

#4 Rhule

Now you are going to compete with the likes of Colorado for choice #5. What will be the excuse when that doesn’t pan out?

The way I see it, after losing four of five games, Kiffins contract demands were seen as unjustified. I mean really who other than ole miss would pay that for a coach who lost four of his last five games and finished the season unranked ?

You got in a bidding war with yourself. Always a bad idea.

Same with Freeze. He looked good against Arkansas then bombed these last 2 weeks in easy games.

Freeze is fun to have in the conference but he isn’t getting you to Atlanta

Is Kiffin really just a good self promoter but a very mediocre coach ?
That's been his MO the whole time.

Everywhere he's been, he starts out being hailed as some sort of genius visionary. By the time he's gone, there are literal lynch mobs after him.

Al Davis said he was the biggest fraud he'd ever met.
Tennessee was burning dumpsters and couches.
USC left him on the airport tarmac.
Saban told him to GTFO during a title run.

He puts on a great sales pitch, apparently, but things tend to go off the rails once the initial shine wears off. My impression is, he's the prototype conman, full of charm and wit, rolling towards a disaster. MAYBE he's finally matured, but somehow I doubt it.

Come on now, Auburn and Ole Miss aren’t on the same level, everyone knows this.

It’s one of the reasons Kiffin was desperate to leave.

Then why didn't he leave?

Well the way I see it is Auburn can’t look in the mirror and admit that they are a figment of what they believe they could be!

18-6 in two regular seasons. We are usually good in close games but ended up dropping two of them at home this year. That’s the difference. Convince yourself he’s not good at your own peril.

I knew they weren't legit when they had to bountygate Tulsa's starting QB to beat them.

Uh, you should look at that the opposite. That much turnover and we were pretty close to ten wins again.

I sure wouldn’t draw up a new contract for a guy looking to go elsewhere. Unless there’s a YUGE buyout for Kiffin. If not, I guess it makes sense to lock him down if that’s who they want.

I would have sat down with him and said, if you wanna be here so bad, prove it. Not be a mopey bitch after he finished the season on a bad note.

I think some ADs are starting to wise up to the coaching change rumors. I think they're starting to call bluffs.

it will pop when Saban leaves. I guess I can’t complain if institutions keep giving it to them.

Last year with all the Mel Tucker rumors was the peak of craziness for me. Did Sparty's AD really think he was going to get the SC or LSU job after one good season, especially considering how his team was absolutely blasted by Ohio State in mid-November?

I haven’t seen any details. I think he’s getting a 4-6 year extension? Hopefully you guys put something in there good to hammer his arse if he does it again.
