I feel for Ole Miss fans. Amazing 11 win season, going into the playoffs, only to be completely shite on by the coach.

I don't blame LSU for wanting him but how on earth could any LSU fan trust that he'll stick around the second the Bama job opens up?

Hmmm 1) I have a job at least until the next head coach gets here
2) If I stay, I get to coach my group of guys preparing for a playoff
3) I leave and I may or probably won't be hired by the schizoid Kiffin.

I guess 1 and 2 are about the same but 3 would suck!

If ole miss is giving ultimatums to coaches that is selfish also…they should be thinking about the players and not force coaches to leave if they are thinking about it. How many players do you think are thinking about leaving, regardless of the coach leaving saga, and has the AD issued them an ultimatum?

Ole Miss is doing the right thing.

LSU is their biggest rival...sometimes you have LANK.

Is OM gonna tell the new coach he has to hire all the current coaches and not bring in any of his own?

Doubt it. Some will be going with LK. They won’t until after playoff game, but OM will use it to say “Look none of the assistants want to go to LSU with LK.”

Once again someone at Ole Miss is giving them the worst advice ever. Remember when they were going to sue the NCAA during the whole fallout with Hugh? I’m sure burning the ships in the harbor is the best decision ever here.

No the players need to learn a valuable life lesson, you stay committed, loyal to your obligations that you signed up for. You stick together as a team and win or lose you get in that fox hole with your brothers and either come out the winner in life or you lose together, either way you build bonds and teach life lessons that these kids can take into the real world and be better people outside of football.

If teams can be excluded from the playoffs for losing their starting QB (see: FSU a few years ago), they why wouldn't the same apply for losing a team losing its head coach and several of his staff?

Nope, when NIL started, the players feelings became null and void.

This is mercenary ball. Don't ya love it?

Golding is not being asked to come to LSU, so he can stay.

That sounds all good and everything but now that everything has a price tag, we have spent years of promoting a culture of selling one’s talents for only selfish reasons , that the academics mean nothing to college sports, and that it’s all just business. So yeah, keep trying to hold people to a standard when you have helped tear down the ethical structure just to win. And when it comes back to bite you and you cry like the bitch you are just remember you all helped build this system. So why are you surprised?

If you handle it any other way you're hurting yourself in the long run.

The LK era is over..he's gone. Close that chapter and move on.

Also...LK is pissed he wasnt allow to continue to coach. He's going to take every coach he wants that will go with him today. You can bet on that....we wont have to tell them to leave if they aren't going to stay. Thats just BS.

We arent crying.

We are just dealing with the hand we've been dealt.

Ole Miss will be fine. Our program is in good shape with Keith Carter running it.

This will suck but we will find a coach and push forward.

We arent state.

The players and the coaches quite literally make up the program

Telling assistants to leave now is dumb as frick

If Lane told them to be on the plane if they want a job at LSU then why wouldn't we tell them to leave if they arent staying?

It is actually the adult way to handle it.
