I think players look more for that than you believe.

It doesn't get them on campus, but once they are it definitely doesn't hurt. Seeing the home team win a good game is especially good.

I think it does get them on campus. Knowing that Ole Miss has hot chicks and a great atmosphere that is going to reward you is a great incentive. Back in the day, it was looked at as a good year when we made regionals. Now it's a disappointment if we don't host Super Regionals or go to Omaha (ie: the Elite Eight). The atmosphere I think may be the biggest factor on why we're doing so well now and I think we could get just about any coach we want that isn't already at one of the elite programs.

And our stadium is made of concrete and steel, not metal bleachers like Alex Box.

Alleva went cheap and it shows.

Best atmosphere? Lulzzzz

You have no baseball tradition so you try to create some.

Throwing your beer after a Homerun, that's cute.

And the lame little dance everyone does, y'all couldn't even come up with that terrible idea yourselves.
Took that from Miami.

And let's not forget YouTube videos of "almost" making it to Omaha. That's just sad.

Ole miss baseball...winners of ?? Yep, that's right, nothing.

What exactly does State have in their baseball history that Ole Miss doesn't?

How about twice as many CWS appearances. And don't act like that's not what you are playing for because it is all y'all talk about.

That was Bertman's project. Bertman butchered every one of his facility projects.

We're about to spend 6 million on a GYMNASTICS PRACTICE FACILITY. If there is one thing Alleva haters can't deny, it is that he does a great job with facility projects.

eta: I agree the bleachers are extremely tacky, but we have plans to build suites to the outfield in a couple of years. I think it's safe to say we will make it completely chairback

Is Ole Miss pushing for alcohol sales in Vaught-Hemingway? I mean, is there no rule against alcohol consumption on/in campus facilities given that everyone in the outfield is drinking shitty beer?

Actually, it's $8.5 million...

quote:

The final project funded by TAF is a gymnastics facility currently in design. At $8.5 million, the 72,000 square foot structure will be used for practice, said Emmett David, associate athletic director of Facility and Project Management.. Gymnastics meets will continue to be held in the PMAC. Construction on the gymnastics facility should begin by August north of the PMAC Practice Facility and east of Carl Maddox Field House.
