Mostly centipede with a couple of large patches of zoysia.

Crabgrass is prevalent, kylinga and some sedge. Also patches of buttonweed.

Will Celsius handle most of this without hurting zoysia and centipede?

re: Chevelle Self Destructor

This new single is as Chevelle as it gets!

Possibly their best album if the rest of the tracks are as good as Self Destructor
Hope that report isn’t true on DS.
That’s never a good thing.

We have an over night rumor of our own.

QB2 frosh is said to have virus.

So, we either will have a starter, a 3/4th string nobody or a canceled game.

However, I doubt they would have even traveled if too many were exposed.

Sometimes (especially with what's going on), I wish MSU didn't fire Croom. He may have not won as much as Mullen,

Let me stop you right there. That’s the thing...Croom didn’t win!

Seriously? You wish State had not fired him?
You must be some fan troll from another school that wished we had kept him. There’s a reason all the coaches never had anything bad to say about him. They loved croom! His teams were so pitiful. They knew State was non competitive and basically an auto win.

Good guy and all but him being hired was essentially self imposed sanctions. He had no business being a head coach.
This is the SEC. Guys are paid insane amounts of money to win football games. He didn’t. Period.

re: Best oak tree to plant?

Posted by MaroonandWhite11 on 6/3/20 at 3:03 pm
In terms of oaks, I would go with Nutall or Shumard as previously stated. The Nutall will give you a mix of red/orange fall color depending on the fall season.
Shumard will give you a scarlet red to orange fall color.

They both grow a bit slower than the white oak family.

The Chinese Pistache he would near the top of my fall foliage list.

The sugar maple would probably be at the top for its brilliant vivid orange/yellow fall color.

However depending on where you are located a different Acer variety may do better such as Florida Flame or Autumn Blaze.

Another good hardwood to consider would be the regular hickory or shagbark hickory.

think my inquiry into this told me Nike owns the rights to the interlocking logo? Can anybullies confirm/deny that

This is correct. Nike unfortunately owns those rights. No clue why the hell we allowed that.

Watermelon red finesse worm/ worm hook with bullet weight

Spring through early summer. High confidence for me.
Saturday night sure looked all too familiar

We beat FSU on the road in the regionals in 2007 then came home and beat Clemson in the super.

And obviously we beat Florida state again in their own regional last season in the elimination game.
Walk off

quote:

must be thinking of another ACC team then. Clemson? Pretty sure we beat them in a super as well as FSU. Could be wrong
We’ve never played them in a super.
We faced them in Omaha in 2007 and got blasted.

We beat national seed Virginia in 2013

Not sure what you’re thinking of.

quote:

That was a solid win. Miss State has wrecked Louisville seasons in so many sports in recent years that I know they hate our guts. The football one was not what I mean or putting them out in the womens hoops Elite 8? It was that solid baseball team they had a few years back when we won the super vs them.
Can’t remember what year but they were really good. They must have Miss State voodoo dolls now that they poke needles in.
quote:

which MS school lead in baseball attendance last year? Don't have that data handy? I'll wait.

That’s cute..

Talking shite about paid attendance..last year
The same year you failed to even make post season play.
The same year a first year head coach comes in last minute at your rival, holds things together with bubblegum and duct tape, swept your group at home in that ball park you all think is..great? And makes a super.

You have no baseball tradition. You steal other college baseball program’s traditions, slogans, chants, etc. as well as attempt to keep your stadium updated when big brother AKA the premier baseball program in the state of MS, begins construction on what will be the nicest college baseball facility in the country by a mile.

And don’t even mention that lame arse beer toss after a hr..
Literally the dumbest thing in college baseball.
That’s not “atmosphere”

Your cheating arse football program is only months away from becoming non existent.
Your b-ball program will continue to waller in mediocrity.

That leaves baseball.. LULZZZZ
quote:

I continue to expect us to lose every series. I have no clue how this team is winning

Same here? Fully expected us to get swept in college station last weekend.

No clue how they are winning.
They've held it together this far with duct tape and bubblegum...it would be nice to see them finish it out.
I know it would feel so rewarding to them knowing that would possibly be the most hard earned sec title maybe ever.
We'll drop atleast one or possibly two @ UGA.
That would be a typical State move.
Need to sweep them or obviously get 2/3.

Skepticism and being a state fan go hand in hand.
quote:

He would jump at the opportunity to leave miss st and coach at LSU...you know it and I know it. Everybody knows it.

Typical arrogant lsu baseball fan assumption.
Sure he may leave, but AC wants to build his own legacy/program..and would likely not be interested in the lsu job even with being from south La and being on staff for a couple of seasons( per personal conversation). His ball clubs will be playing in the nicest college baseball park in the country once construction is complete in 2018/2019.
That in itself is a major recruiting tool, not to mention our baseball history, fanaticism and program support. Msu baseball doesn't have the national title hardware obviously so save the 6 NC's remarks but Andy knows he can win titles in Starkville. Just look at what he's done 2months into this season. He's coach of the year at this point and it's not close.
Money will be no issue. We can match or exceed any salary Lsu is willing to offer.

re: Swayze Field

Posted by MaroonandWhite11 on 2/20/17 at 8:59 am
As stated earlier, tossing beer into the air..that's OM's baseball "tradition" they so brilliantly came up with.
And I get it, student section gonna student section but that's just a really dumb celebration. That's not tradition.

And I suppose it makes you rebels feel better to make fun of the left field lounge rigs because they're old. Let's see..NASCAR redneck deck , etc. Thanks for your expert opinion****
Think I'll go with the national sports publications, opinions, as well as my own experience(been to many games at swayze and the box) that Dudy Noble is the best college baseball atmosphere in the country.
And read that again, nowhere does it say the "best stadium", don't worry though, spring of 2019 will be here soon and that will then be true.

And as for game day atmosphere, it's cute that OM thinks theirs is superior.
Sure, Bianca has done a respectable job with the program and bringing in some talent, I'll admit that.
For years State has garnered all this national attention about our baseball program and ballpark/atmosphere so little brothers in oxford couldn't stand to be out done by the, "leg humpers" did I get that right?
And as far as crowds are concerned, everyone in college baseball inflates those numbers. Lsu is king of that shite and now with OM right on their heels.
Bottom line, if you have a good team and win games( WIN being the keyword there) you will have big crowds.

Had we not re-hired Polk back in '02 and brought in someone who actually recruited outside of his summer camps, that wouldn't have opened the door for the little bit of success(mostly post season choke jobs) OM experienced in the early and mid 2000's which, in turn, jumpstarted your baseball program.

Nick Gibson

Remember him this season and definitely next season.
First of all, hiring Croom was the equivalent of self imposing sanctions on ourselves. Seriously. Damn you Larry Templeton, you cheap SOB!
Not to mention Templeton sold the rights to our "football" interlocking MSU logo to Nike and then proceeded to let Croom have his choice of uniforms and design.
And what does Croom choose? A very similar look to Bama's uniforms. But I digress.

Sure, Croom was a good man, all about character, doing things the right way and cleaning up the program..yadda yadda yadda.
But the most obvious thing about him was he had NO business coaching D1 football and in the SEC of all conferences.

All that first black head coach in the SEC nonsense is just that..nonsense.
Coaching in this league is about one thing..WINNING.
Thank God we hired Greg Byrne and he ended the nightmare that was the Croom era.

But as for the OP's question...No, Croom owned no one. Ellis Johnson's defense was responsible for the two wins over bama and the 8 wins in 2007.

Wrong.

Bc getting Nike/interlocking MSU back would be glorious.
