I agree and always thought he was but it just seemed that we had become stagnant. If he couldn't get in the tournament with this team, he needed to be fired.

Andy worming his way into the tourney this year doesn't mean he's a good coach. He still needs to be fired in the near future. Marshall Henderson might play another Ole Miss.

AK is a good coach. In reality he has done good enough to deserve a chance to prove himself when OM builds the new arena. Y'all are so behind in facilities it hasn't given AK much to work with.

Compare OM basketball to what it was before AK and he has taken tremendous steps to making OM basketball respectable.

AK is a good coach.

It's Ole Miss basketball. He's built a consistent program. I know a lot of people don't appreciate NIT bids in basketball, but I bet Auburn certainly would right now. The two programs are similar historically.

He finally has Ole Miss over the edge. He's had them close for years; it was just a matter of time until he got them there.

Agree with all of this. Before we lost at State I was behind the guy and said that we would be nothing without him. The program is MILES AND MILES ahead of where it was when he got here.
When the new arena is built and he is here I think he's going to do some special things.

Yep I was one myself. Problem I didn't think we could get a better coach though so I though we should keep him then.

I was never (still not) completely satisfied with AK, because of what I perceive as a weak coaching style. By that I mean a simple offensive scheme and an almost complete disregard for defense.

All that said, I do not follow basketball closely enough to be able to say one way or another if we were in a position to get someone better. I think the first rule of coaching changes is: don't fly off the handle and fire a decent coach unless you have a star to replace him. You could get Orgeroned.

I was one of them but I always said if he makes the tourney he keeps his job. I still say if you go 0-7 making the tourney in the SEC you deserve to go.

I don't know if I wanted him fired but I did not think he was working. we played good today. I just like seeing hustle and players wanting to win. I haven't felt like we have seen that much with his teams. still not going base my opinion on a three game streak or one 10 seed

Not me but it wasn't because I thought he could take us to the tourney. I just didn't wanna buy out his contract.
We need to put that towards the new stadium.

I was a major anti-AK FAN, no doubt after losing to state I was furious, but now I'm seeing the big picture. With facilities and program circumstances he is the best choice and did his job this year better than any year before. So congrats to AK and the team!! It's a great time to be a rebel!

I love the guy...We've gone to 7 (now 8) NCAA Tourney's in 103 years. He has been averaging 20+ wins a season. That's like 7 to 8 win seasons in football. I'll take it all day long. This guy has been doing more with NOTHING than anyone I can think of.
