Ole Miss fans-Chris Marshall

After a long career full of transfers, he finally ends up at Arkansas. Has had a great spring and fall, and is expected to be a major contributor this season.
How the heck did he get suspended from Ole Miss back in 2023? He was a 5 star coming out of high school apparently. It said a locker room incident. Any insight on what happened?

He was driving over 100mph through Oxford being chased by the police. He was supposed to be paired with Trey Harris.

I think the last thing Arkansas is worried about is character issues at this point. We just want to win a few games

He barely made it through spring ball with Ole Miss. Trying to remember the details but it was a combo of on the field issues, locker rooms issues, and off the field issues.
Lane was concerned/paranoid about team chemistry after some bad seeds in the 2022 transfer class and had a shorter leash.

I do think it was something dumb like speeding on campus that was the final straw. He may have skipped a practice or something to get in the doghouse. There were a few things.

i think walter nolan was the only transfer from that class that ever amounted to anything

i still LULZ at that complete fools gold of a recruiting class Jimbo put together. Denver Harris was running around for UNLV yesterday and now a Chris Marshall sighting.
Story is:
1) Late conversion to football in high school. He loved basketball more than football.
2) Gets to A&M and completely self destructs. He throws a public tantrum after he was not offered a spot on the basketball team. He sneaks out of the hotel to party after hours before the Miami game and is suspended, and is later caught smoking weed in the locker room before a game. He is disinvited by both the football team and the university.
3) Transfers to OIe Miss and is kicked off the team before the first game.
4) Slinks back to Texas and enrolls at Kilgore JUCO where he catches 21 passes for 450 yards and is also arrested for felony drug possession.
5) Leaves Kilgore and goes to Boise State. Barely plays his junior year and then actually plays a full season last year catching 30 balls for 2 tds. Described by Boise fans as having huge potential but prone to dropping balls and making dumb mistakes.
6) Transfers to Arkansas . .
So 4 schools in 4 years, two dismissals, lots of drugs . . .maybe he is turning the corner? He managed not to get arrested or kicked out of a school at Boise so that is progress.

Yeah, he was awesome for us. Not sure what button we pushed that A&M didn't but he was virtually unblockable.
