Does LSU even have an AD?

Didn’t Hugh Freeze beat the Goat TWICE while he was at Ole Miss? It’s not like they can’t win big games there.

The fact that you have to use upsets as your example of their peak as a program speaks volumes

Not conference titles, BCS wins, playoff wins, etc. Upsets

It's just insane how badly Ole Miss handled this, and their fans are on another level of cope.

I thought your idiocracy was only reserved for the PT board. And yet here it is!

Explain to me how destroying both their playoff run this year AND immediate future is a smart plan

Did you expect us to allow that narcissistic weasel unfettered access to our coaches and players after making it abundantly clear he had absolutely no interest in staying in Oxford?

And riding off the coattails of potentially making a run in the playoff just to leave us anyway?

There's no scenario where allowing him to coach the rest of the season pays off dividends for us. KC made the right move, as he has frequently since he became our AD.

Explain your negotiation strategy you would have used if you were the Ole Miss AD in this situation.

I mean, do you think what the admin did somehow stopped him from picking which coaches he wanted?

The real shitty part for y'all will be if your playoff run flames out so quickly he gets a few of your players without any issues. Keeping him at bay at Ole Miss would have prevented that, likely.

This is your best season ever. Do you want to sabotage it over emotional thinking? You're likely never getting back here again, and you want to end it this way?

This sounds like someone who thinks this isn't their best season ever

Negotiation for who? Kiffin? They never had any leverage with Kiffin and he was doing what he wanted.

This isn't about that, since they were DOA there regardless. They're a stepping stone program.

They should follow other stepping stone programs like Tulane and USF to see how they should have reacted (with thanks and good will).

This is about salvaging what little good they had left, which was this potential playoff run and finishing their best year ever. Their future was already in shambles (although the emotional-rush hire of Golding somehow makes this all worse, as hard as that is to imagine).

Explain to me how giving the HC of an SEC rival another month to tell the players how good they are going to be at LSU is a good plan either!

Ole Miss should have let Kiffin stay on through the playoffs, therefore depriving him of the chance of hitting high school seniors with an LSU recruitment pitch. Now he's free to scavenger the land...but I suspect LSU didn't want him coaching Ole Miss through the playoffs either, just for this reason.

There’s a reason they had planes lined up to pick him and his family up. And it’s not just that Ole Miss is a bunch of meanies.

We're supposed to pander to someone whose antics derailed our best season ever? Because of his departure, we could lose our home playoff game, and we're supposed to cater to his every demand? Totally.

The other shoe is going to fall anyways. It's wishful thinking to think anything other than Kiffin is going to poach a ton of our players. We have to look strong even if we're weak.

What makes you so quick to write us off? At least with Golding we have some sense of continuity, and he's a good recruiter. We have cash to splash in the NIL era just like everyone else. We'll be okay.

The Rebs AD should have kept everything out of the news and let it play out.

Lane should’ve done the same. But he and his team didn’t. Y’all are asking us to sit there and take it.
