Ole Miss can’t reach X.

I’ve been thinking about what others have mentioned about Ole Miss not able to reach this game or that, etc.
I think some forget that just because a program hasn’t currently achieved something, or hasn’t in a long time, doesn’t mean that program never will.
With NIL players coming and going, I think Ole Miss and other teams can pickup players they might otherwise not have (example Zach Evans’s) plug some holes and continue to recruit at a top 15 or top 20 pace, as well as the college playoff expanding to 12 teams, and I see no reason why Ole Miss will not make the playoffs, and not have a chance to compete more often than not.
I think currently with a 4 team playoff 92% or around that percentile of schools could currently say they will never be in the playoffs, but after the expansion, I could see that increasing quite a bit for a large portion of programs.

Playoff expansion is huge not just for us, but for a lot of guys. It's not just NIL, it's the transfer portal, NIL, and expansion together. I think we're headed to more parity than we've seen over the last several years.

Ole Miss has lost 3 games every season since 1972.
And an undeniable fact is that Ole Miss is athletic department poor compared to championship teams. They rank only above MS St and Mizzou in revenue and in 2022, money, facilities, and assistants making big money are getting the horses to the stable.
ETA. The only outlier is aTm who is hood rich and in my opinion Ole Miss is in a better position to make the playoffs than aTm ever will be.

We are poor but beat out all the best teams in baseball with better facilities and far more money. Last team in etc.

I am interested in seeing which program can get to Atlanta first. Unfortunately I don't think I will ever find out. Turning 50 soon, so it probably won't be in my lifetime.

Hm? In baseball Ole Miss is not poor, and you have great facilities.

Baseball ain’t football. The money required isn’t nearly as large. It isn’t as scrutinized as football or basketball as far as pulling top recruits without getting some side eyes. Basically, get yourself 3 damn good pitchers (which is essentially how y’all won it. Not taking away from some of the other good players you had but without that great pitching staff, you had zero chance) and you got a chance at a championship in baseball. (There’s also a good bit of luck involved with a baseball championship).
You’re also one of a few SEC teams that gets any real fan support for your baseball program.
Congrats on the championship but honestly it’s kind of sad it’s taken you this long to do it. Ole Miss and State both should have at least 2 by now.

this is true, but you won't get any rational discussion or acknowledgment of this on the rant

Yeah, not happening. Ole Miss is a stepping stone or a rehab for a coach.
