Matt Luke really hurt the program from a support standpoint. Also, Ole Miss in its entire history has been known to not care about early games for some reason. I remember when I was a student and we had the JP game that week. I had to leave the game before halftime for something and when I walked through the Grove, there was like another 30,000 people still there instead of being at the game. They would rather sit outside and drink while listening to the game than bake in the sun at noon.

Back in the orgeron years when we had almost every home game at 11…they threw out the “no readmittance” rule just so people would come back to the game at the end of half.

There would always be this mad rush of people leaving the stadium with 2mins to go in half to go eat and drink in the grove then like half of them would leisurely make their way back n the first 5 minutes of the 3rd.

I guess you're overrated too? You beat us by 1 in a shootout bruh

UGA sold out a much bigger stadium at 11 am just the week before. I'm sure we will be full for Auburn this weekend m It's not unheard of

SEC scheduling needs a revamp.

The way it takes forever to play some teams is a travesty. Not sure what the answer is.
They are aware of the problem, and will fix it when the new boys arrive. Probably will go with elimination of divisions, and a 9 game schedule and 3 permanent opponents, rotating the other 12 teams six one year and six the next. That allows you to play a complete round robin, home and away, over the course of four years, while still preserving the rivalries that have to be played.

My problem with this is who gets to decide "what rivalries need to get played"

Sadly they will force Missouri to be one of those for us

Wasn't Kiffen the Tennessee coach that game? I just remember Dexter McCluster put on a clinic, and it was a good weekend.

This was probably one of the top 5 most dominant performances I’ve ever witnessed from an opposing player. Just completely whipped VOLS arse from start to finish.

This is why I have been anti-expansion since day 1. They’ll kill traditional SEC rivalries for more money.

This right here. What expansion has done from a Georgia perspective is traded in the yearly game with Ole Miss for Missouri. You can hear a pin drop in Sanford Stadium when Mizzu comes to town. Some of those games with the Rebs in the 60s and 70s were as intense and electric as it gets.

Back in the day Georgia always played Ole Miss in Jackson, and nearly always at night. I miss it.

Tennessee is 25-5 all-time against Ole Miss in games played at Knoxville

Wonder when was the last time Ole Miss won in Knoxville? I was born in the 90s and every loss I can recall from Ole Miss games was in Mississippi.

And of course Ed Orgeron was somehow dressed in Tennessee orange that day and got a first row seat in witnessing the team he built skull frick us. The 09 loss bothered me way more than the 2014 beat down.

November 12, 1983.

A 4-5 Ole Miss squad defeated a 6-2 Tennessee team 13-10. The game was televised on TBS. Tennessee finished 9-3 after winning the Citrus Bowl. Ole Miss finished 6-6 and lost the Independence Bowl to Air Force.

Was it the "Archie Mule" game in 68 starring Steve "the goat" Kiner?
