Per SEC requirements, visiting teams are to be allocated some 6-7000 seats` the Big12 had no such mandate...so, how will they determine who has to give up their seats ?

Don't know how they're arranging it but I know that work is underway in terms of compliance.

Realistically, some people are going to lose their seats. It is what it is.

Due to SEC regulations, which requires the home team's student section to be on the opposite side of the field from the visiting team bench, OU's student seating will move from its 2023 spot of sections 26-30 to its revised location of section 20 rows 6-28 and sections 22-28.

The move adds 369 additional seats to the student section and creates a more intimate environment.

SEC regulations also require visiting team seating changes. The conference requires 2,000 visiting team seats inside the lower bowl, the Big 12 didn't require any visitor seating in the lower bowl.

The new visiting team seating will be in sections 15 and section 16 rows 6-28 and 57-72.

"The new student seating for 2024 is consistent with, or better than, other SEC stadiums," per an OU athletics release. "With OU's students all being located on the lower deck as opposed to at least half of other SEC schools that have some middle- and upper-deck student seating."

This is not a troll.

UGA, LSU, Bama, Fla, Tenn, Auburn normally have 15-20,000 fans that travel with the team. Tell everyone to scoot over.
The ticket outlets are going to make a mint!

So 2,000 visitor seats and their band in the north EZ (lower bowl), and the rest on the upper deck east?

Or do I read that graphic backwards?

Student sections start in the end zone wrap around and stop roughly 30 yard line on the visitor side in Auburn, Athens, Gainesville, Tuscaloosa and Starkville.

We know it's not a troll, dude. We received notification from the SEC compliance offices and it was published publicly.

???

Home student sections cannot be on the visitor side. Thats what their rules state. Basically they don’t want home students harassing away teams by being behind their bench.

Been going out of town games since the 70’s.
Perhaps the schools I mentioned can confirm.

Matter of fact… in Athens the visitor runs out in front of the student section.

Put them in the end zone without the club wristband.. at least fans would be in the seats.. win/win as we get more fans elsewhere

A&M’s student section is on the East side, behind the visiting team bench.

Who lied and told y’all that? South Carolina’s student section is in the north end zone and wraps around to the East stand which is the visitor’s side.

University of Texas planned visiting Band seating for the 2024 season. (Don't think that Shite is gonna fly in the SEC)

What complete moron at Texas thought it was a good idea to make the visiting Band have to haul all their equipment up to the Upper Deck? (That's legendary asinine and moronic)
