This is NOT a joke! The columbus/franklin county area is a sanctuary sh!thole, and many of the illegal people are criminals & fugitives from mexico & central america. They will kill you, and then be across town before the police arrive.

The mexican cartel has infiltrated the entire area via a drug pipeline from the Hilltop, and it's one of the top cities for illegal drugs in the country. Throw in traditional gangs with the mexican gangs, asian gangs, and somolian gangs...and it's a SH!TFEST! The Hilltop, the Short North, the Bottoms, Whitehall, the campus area, the west side, the south side, the east side...the problems have tripled in the last 10 years, and it's getting worse every day.

Just days ago, an o$u soccer player named Nathan Demian was brutally shot down in a DRIVE-BY shooting on the east side of campus...he's clinging to his life right now. One minute, you can be walking around campus, the next minute you can have bullets flying past you, your buddies, and your families heads.

NEVER, EVER, EVER venture into franklin county unless you're packing...and certainly don't count on the columbus pd or the campus pd to protect you! Get to the parking lot, stash your piece, go to the game, & then get right back to your piece... prayers to all visitors, and be safe!

That's crazy, I lived in the Victorian Village after living in a highrise downtown for a year. Completely safe in the late 90s early 2000s compared to growing up in the South.
