yes, losing at home and crossing the 30 yard line once makes it pretty obvious. Of course, Lee throwing the ball directly to your defense twice isn't LSU shooting themselves in the foot, just Bama being great. Amirite?

Obvious ? You got out rushed 148-96 and your TEAM cannot kick field goals. Your TEAM got beat, at home, deal with it. Guess Gumps don't count special teams as part of the team.

Gary Crowton was available after last season and you passed on him. The rest is history.

We were attempting to open up the run by focusing on the pass.

and LSU played their worst offensive game of the entire season.

LSU fans have been giving credit to Bama's defense. And, most Bama fans have been giving credit to LSU's defense. But, I guess you aren't that classy.

Don't you get it? Bama is still the best team in the country. Even though they got beat at home, in primetime, with ESPN Gameday in town, the whole nation watching, and all the pregame hype in their favor.

They may have lost, but they are clearly better.

Is Jim a Mike Shula hired coach, or a Nick Saban hired coach?

Edit: Oh, as far as the petition goes, I'm not signing it. I like the guy to be honest with you.

I think it's pretty obvious you are a delusional homer making excuses/claiming moral victories after a loss.

Why not just fire Saban and hire Miles???

The guy runs the offense that Saban wants him to run... Having said that, you get the ball in your playmakers hands, especially as you get closer to the goal line. Trent should have gotten the ball down close.

Surprised me that Hilliard and Stampley weren't given the chance.

Do you realize how stupid this makes you sound?

So Bama was a better team, they just screwed up more then LSU did??

I still think it would have been a positive thing. Wearing down the defense while milking precious time off of the clock. Plus, Trent is a homerun threat on any given play. I think it is pretty obvious that Bama is the best team in the country... They just shot themselves in the foot too many times Saturday night.

Its very obvious they are not the best team

You don't think Saban put the handcuffs on that offense?

So anyhow. I give Lsu credit for Saturday. Not the blame on McElwain. Count me against wanting to get rid of him.

For some perspective:

Offensive Comparison Since 2007
Year Points Per Rushing Passing Total
Game (Avg.) Yards (Avg.) Yards (Avg.) Offense (Avg.)
2007 352 (27.1) 1,940 (149.2) 2,919 (224.5) 4,859 (373.8)
2008 422 (30.1) 2,585 (184.6) 2,396 (171.1) 4,981 (355.8)
2009 449 (32.1) 3,011 (215.1) 2,631 (187.9) 5,642 (403.0)
2010 464 (38.5) 2,378 (182.9) 3,395 (261.2) 5,773 (440.1)
2011 315 (39.4) 1,834 (229.2) 1,827 (228.4) 3,661 (457.6)
