I don't think a Bobby Petrino protege would look very good.

Do the missouri fans on tigerboard not ever bitch about how crappy their board is?
Does it cost money to get it into a different format? I love the way TD is set up.

Depends if you do it yourself or not.
Forums arn't hard to set up but they are... tedious at times.

They actually love it for some fricked up reason. I have seen threads were people have questioned it but then they get attacked by other posters who say its a great format because it has a real time flow to it.

What in the hell are they talking about real time feel?
This has real time to it, look at when the posts are and you can see EVERY post just by scrolling. You don't have to click on every damn post.
Missouri fans on here, what gives? Do yall like it?
If so, why?

I guess I base my opinion solely off of a tiered system of ranking available coaches when a job comes open. I just think the Arky job is a little bit above Gus right now. IMHO, I've always gone off of the idea of that there are two trains of thought when it comes to picking a coach. If there isn't a surefire bad arse around, i.e. Saban or Urban, you're left with a couple of veterans that have had success but may be past their prime and could be considered complacent with mediocre years, depending on what's considered mediocre for a program. On the other hand, you have rising stars like Gus and Hudspeth that have a fire lit under their arse to win it all, but their limited coaching experience hurts their case a little bit.
I think with the pieces Arkansas has, you don't go cheap on this hire. They have a legitimate chance to make a run this year and years to come if they get the right guy. WIth that said, I think you open up the check book and make the calls to any star coach that will pick up the phone.

'm sorry, I think Gus is flat out absolute garbage. I HATE guys who get hired based off of the success of some gimmick system that depends heavily on the one or two guys running it.
If LSU was in the same situation as Arky and Alleva announced Gus was our new coach, I'd put my LSU grad ring in a drawer, keep my TV off on Saturdays during the fall and probably avoid this site like my life depended on it.
Bottom line, Gus is garbage. Without Cam or DMac, he'd be an OC or position coach for some Sun Belt team.
Stupidity noted.
FWIW, Gus has been an D-1 OC for since 2006....
2006 Arky wins SEC West, DMac Heisman runner up, Thank HDN for the late season blowup, QB Mustain/Dick
2007 Tulsa win C-USA division, top 10 offense national, QB Paul Smith the Great(I Kid.)
2008 See 2007, QB David Johnson the Great(I kid)
2009 Auburn goes from 110th in total offense to 20th with some guy named Chris Todd at QB
2010 Auburn wins SEC West, SEC, BSC, finished 6th in total offense in NCAA, Cam throws for 2800 and 30 TDs, runs for 1400 and 22 tds, Dyer has 1000, McCalleb has 800, Fannin has 400, etc....
2011 Auburn replaces QB, FB, 4 OLinemen, 3 starting receivers....not a good season.
5 good seasons outta 6....stupid much?

Obviously you only read one of the many post I had in here. I don't feel like repeating myself. You can go back and read what I had to say.

@HeadtoHeadRadio: Sources say Mark Hudspeth, hc at UL-Laf, has been contacted by Arkansas
So, Arkansas's going to fire a guy who had an inappropriate relationship with a younger girl at the University for another coach who married a younger girl who was a cheerleader at UNA when he was previously head coach there and married at the time.
Good call.

has Rick Barnes removed his name from consideration?
Posted on 4/11/12 at 5:20 pm to Dr RC
Just got on ULL's site. I thought they would have had multiple threads already started about Hudspeth's name being thrown around for the Arky job, but they didn't. I had to lay the news on them. I'm sure that little site will blow up.

I'm ganna say its McGee. Has a good following, has a good personality, and supposed to be a good recruiter + He knows the system that is in place already and the players for the most part.

Yeah, that's what I think, too. I guess the call to Hudspeth is more of smoke and mirrors game to get him to force a decision out of him
?

Yea, I think FatDrunknStupid might actually be...fat, drunk, and stupid. Gus Malzahn is not a bad OC and his success everywhere he's been proves it. Chad Morris is basically running a lot of the same offense at Clemson, and look how good it's doing? Besides, offenses typically aren't great unless they have good/great players in them.

According to Wikipedia, it's already happened.
"Garrick McGee (born April 6, 1973) is an American football coach and former player. He is currently the head football coach at the University of Arkansas (U of A), a position he assumed in April 2012."

Damn, somebody changed that FAST!!

Best possible scenario for us, especially if he can keep the staff together. Garrick was one of our best recruiters and I always thought he'd be a better head coach than an OC. If he can keep Paul as OC for this year and going forward that would be fantastic.

Garrick McGee is allegedly in Fayetteville today

Ray Dominguez ? @Ray73D
Pay whatever it cost to get that man Garrick McGee back!!! And I mean WHATEVER!!!

Ryan Mallett ? @Ryan_Mallett_15

The perception of Mallett by a lot of people on here and otherwise is that he's dumb, drug user, etc... But the guys knows the game of football, and was like an offensive coordinator on the field when he was our QB. I put significant weight into what he says on this.
