I noticed - your methodology appears to be flawed

How did you come up with these ranking by the way?

Research Performance? Endowment? Acceptance Rate? ROI? Starting Salary Levels? Mid-Career Salary Levels? Alumni/Networking Resources? Reputation? Homerism?

Texas is a more prominent state than GA, although both are solid. GA has less to work with, naturally.

Both schools are good. The carry of a UGA degree increases yearly. TAMU probably does too, but much of the clout for TAMU comes within Texas, but considering the size and influence of Texas, that is still substantial.

Sorry, A&M doesn't get mentioned with top level schools in my experience.

In the interest of fairness, I think I should point out that A&M's national reputation isn't as strong as it would be if they had a more national alumni base.

Get out of here. I find your rational unbiased opinion annoying.

I didn't. I used someone else's methodology and just went with it, otherwise I would have definitely ranked them differently myself, although the Top 4 probably wouldn't have changed.

You southerners need to expand your minds and realize that there is a frickton more to America than the Southeast region. A lot of you are almost cultish about your praise for everything southern Georgia may very well be elite in the southeast, but speaking nationally, that's an emphatic no.

UGA and UF are brands that carry pretty well.

Considering the boom that is the Southeast, West and Texas, and the decline that is the Mid-Atlantic and rustbelt, what we think in the Southeast is increasingly relevant.

I've lived for large chunks of my life in California, Illinois, Oklahoma, Georgia and Florida.

Trust me - someone from Missouri is no more qualified than a Southerner to "speak nationally".

I think y'all being racist against the hardworking mexican-Texan population speaks more to your own prejudice than it does to Texas.

A&M is not a top level university.
