Napier was 33-5 his last 3 years at ULL before taking the Florida job. Nothing Golesh can do at this point is going to top that.
More importantly. Florida needs fans to buy back into the program. Alex Golesh may be a great hire in time but he is not moving the needle with fans or $$ boosters after going 9-3 or whatever at USF.
I get that you're saying but they aren't getting a home run hire by doing the same shite they have been doing with the admin and foot ball program. They are gonna have to commit to the football program/facilities with a huge bankroll nil and coach salary if they want that. If not they gotta roll the dice. Simple as that

On Kiffin.
Would Florida wait until the end of the season to make any sort of move?
If Kiffin keeps Ole Miss in contention, he’s not going to leave until Ole Miss is out. Is that too long? Does it give Ole Miss enough time to do what they need to secure his services moving forward?

There would be a legit revolt if it was Deion. It's absurd that he's even listed.
Bob Stoops.
Bob Stoops.

Is Jamey Chadwell another Sexton client? The guy is absolutely not what Florida is looking for. He doesn't even have P5 experience as an assistant? I don't think the appetite for lottery ticket coaches is high at the moment.

Just what the Gators need, another Sunbelt Star.

is it really Finebaum's job to get on the SEC Network every single day and call for the firing of a coach that his show depends on to stay relevant for sec content and interviews
How is that good business for the SEC and it's members?

Facilities have been addressed and are not the problem.
NIL has been revamped & addressed from what I hear but i don't know much about that.
Napier got everything he asked for supposedly.

List lost credibility when Sanders was at #3. Just don’t think any serious school will hire him after what has been going on at Colorado. Mostly a clown show.

Probably Chadwell since he’s in the SBC and will come cheap.

Decent coaches who should get the call and or nod:
1. Jeff Brohm
2. Mike Gundy (the likely hire)
3. Chris Klieman
4. Dave Doeren
Who won't take the job:
1. Lane Kiffin
2. Urban Meyer
3. Bob Stoops
If the train goes off the rails:
1. James Franklin
2. Jamie Chadwell
3. Alex Golesh
4. Gus Malzahn
5. Eli Drinkwitz
That being said. . . welcome to Gainesville Coach Malzahn

Why isn’t Tebow on the list if Deion is? I think we can all see what Deion is as a Coach and program leader at this point.
Drinkwitz is interesting. Young guy who has been all over and won. Won in the SEC too.
I don’t think they go small school guy this time unless they have major ties to the school. They have to go Top 5 OC or take some middle of the packs coach. Like Lane or Eli

Please God let this happen.
The Florida program would look like Atlanta after Sherman was done.

Coach Prime will find a football team dumb and desperate enough to hire him. It just will not be a college football team.
Hiring Coach Prime at this point would be such a Jets, Browns, Raiders, Panthers, or Falcons type move. I can totally see one of those teams not only giving him the bag to come coach in the NFL but make him promises to draft his sons and Travis Hunter. They will give up a ton of draft capital or trade key players to move up in the draft to make it happen. You can just see it coming!!!
