Almost as sad as taking a loss at home with your GOAT quarterback and 4 future NFL receivers.

LSU scored more points on their field than any opponent in the last 112 years. The most since 1907 Sewanee!

Absolute mud holing in front of 16.64 MILLION people!

Lmao! That A1abana defense is tOuGh!

Nice work Coach Sabah!

Joe had been at LSU for 3 months in that picture.

Tuna had been at A1abana for 35 months in this picture:

I think what you are seeing is a coach who is in the twilight of his career. You have those who will leave because they want to pursue other avenues in their coaching career and know if they wait too long the will be boxed in (Cochran). You have coaches who are positioning themselves to be the heir apparent and will not leave to stay on the good side of the Coach and Administration (Sark). You have other coaches who will leave lesser programs to increase their profile and resume, even if it is for a couple of seasons. This will continue as long as there is not a clear replacement for Saban.

You mean Bama hasn't given up more than 46 points in a home game in 112 years? Wow. Thanks for that great stat.

Yeeeeeeeeah I’ll call bullshite. Sinclair has been doing an incredible job at UGA in S&C (which is where Aaron Feld came from before going to Oregon) and Ron Courson is regarded as arguably the best Director of Sports Medicine in the country given what he has done in injury rehab (Nick Chubb being the most obvious example).

That doesn’t mean Bama isn’t about to move the needle with their latest hire but I think we’re doing just fine in Athens, thanks.

Is sport science code for PEDs?

Not sure. Maybe you can research it.
But IU 4-star and the #10 RB in 2019 entered the transfer portal today because Ballou is leaving.
Tells you everything. S&C coaches typically don't draw recruits. Looks like he did though.

Wow, a 2nd string RB transferring away from Indiana because the S&C Coach is leaving. Wasn't because his OC is leaving ? If that is true, I guess he will transfer to Bama soon.

He was a freshman and expected to contribute.

His likely landing spot is rumored to be Ohio St. Who IU beat out to land him

Alabama is full up on RBs.

I read he was going to be the 2nd string RB. It also said the Offense lost two of its Coaches (including the OC), so I imagine that was a key factor. If he goes to OSU, he will behind at least Teague.

#10 RB in his class not even starting as a sophomore at a mediocre B1G school. Pretty elite strength and conditioning goings on in Bloomington

Yes to some degree. He (Saban) was creating a sports science center rather than hiring/buying an instant feedback meter to attach to each weight machine as LSU did and most of college football has since copied. This is marketed by some guys at a N.Y. startup.

Kind of similar to the Japs jumping ahead with suicide flights while the USA was busy developing the Atom bomb. With predictable results. Hats off to Oregon for listening to those guys sales pitch and seeing the potential and getting the AD to purchase. And I guess we'll see soon enough whether Saban moving to what appears to be a weapon of mass destruction brings about similar results to 1945.

Some of you are trying way too hard on this.

You don't have to convince everyone we just hired the greatest strength coach in the history of the planet. It sounds needy as shite.

And this whole alternative theory that Saban had this grand plan to get Cochran out to find a true new age strength coach is about the most Monday Morning QB sounding thing ever. Did Saban see a need to move forward? Hell yes. Did he orchestrate some grand scheme to get Cochran out to hire Ballou? Come on.

He seems like a well respected guy in his field and I'm excited to see the new stuff at work, but can we chill on some of this over the top shite. I swear it's ok to say "I like it, we'll see how it works out". I promise you don't have to fight with people to prove to them the new guy from Indiana is the BEST IN THE COUNTRY WITH NOBODY ELSE CLOSE.

Speaking of trying too hard....I'm speaking from a personal opinion. You know about those and a-holes I assume. I give a shat who is or is not convinced on a BS sports gibberish board. You're taking yourself far too seriously and this inane hyperbole far too literate.

BTW, the freaking bar bell guy may be awful. But something was working at IU. As to how it works my most definitive statements about the hire is like "we'll see". My excitement is more about the Sports Science program. But yeah since you mentioned it given Saban's propensity to keep fresh blood and turnover staff I was fully expecting movement in the S and C area. So to repeat, shelf life and new brooms. Key is having the right new broom. I guess we'll see.
