That is a tough one. Right now it looks like about half the conference can contend for the SEC title, though I give LSU a slight edge with their returning talent. Add to that its the SEC so we know at least one team that looks good on paper will have an awful season and one team that looks very average will have a good season.

I can't make up my mind on who goes where in the top 5 SEC teams going into the season, much less where all 14 rank.

LSU's big man isn't good enough for them to win the title, also Will Wade is a horrendous defensive coach.
It'll either be Kentucky, Arky or Tennessee that wins the SEC. Florida has the talent but their coach is mediocre.

I think State takes a pretty noticeable step back this year. Lost our top four scorers from last year and all but two players on the roster will be freshmen or sophomores. To me they are 2-3 years away from competing for the NCAA Tourney again, and it may or may not be under a new coach at that point. Can't help but feel like Howland squandered a bunch of talent the last few years and it's going to be hard to get that much talent back on campus considering how many of those guys were State legacies.

Gamecocks should be solid. 4 of 5 starters and 13 of 16 players overall return from last year. We're used to a lot more attrition than that. Kotsar will be tough to replace.

I think the winner comes from UT UK Ark or LSU. Think all 4 are top 25 teams. Auburn should be rebuilt after this season, not sure we see Mike White back at UF if he underachieves this year.

I think the only thing that maybe ends up in us not being Top 2-3 is how long it will take for this group to gel and if it takes a bit of time it could lead to some early losses in conference play. It's a fantastic class though and if Sarr gets his waiver, what Cal pulled in transfers is impressive.

South Carolina will finish in the top half of the league...probably around 5 or 6. They will be a bubble team.

Those of yall putting South Carolina at the bottom of your rankings are doing so simply because you don't know anything about the team.

You heard it here first. Georgie guarantees that LSU will not be on probation.

Is this in order too? I’d say mizzou is the top of those 4

Kentucky, Arkansas, Tennessee in some sort of order for top 3.

Alabama, LSU, Florida, Auburn in some sort of order below top 3.

I’m still not sold on White at Florida.

How long does State stock with Howland?

Based on what I know, still hard to say with so many guys pending transfer waivers, and just not knowing a ton about all the transfers going everywhere. Always difficult to know how guys will translate.

1. Tennessee
2. Kentucky
3. LSU
4. Arkansas
5. Florida
6. Alabama
7. Ole Miss
8. Auburn
9. South Carolina
10. Texas A&M
11. Missouri
12. Mississippi State
13. Georgia
14. Vanderbilt

It honestly gets tough after Alabama in my list
