I know Bama can not make the claim as the youngest team nor a young team. We do have some postion groups that are inexperienced with some young players scatered in the groups. I'd say WR/DB are our youngest or most inexperienced position groups.

what y'all got?

Can't claim A&M.

We start:

10 Seniors
5 Juniors
5 Sophomores
4 Freshmen

If you include the 2 deep:

10 Senior Starters/3 Senior Backups
5 Junior Starters/6 Junior Backups
5 Sophomore Starters/7 Sophomore Backups
4 Freshmen Starters/8 Freshman Backups

Auburn's depth chart lists their starters:

7 Seniors
12 Juniors
8 Sophomores
2 Freshmen

Or something like that... that includes 14 "starters" on offense plus special teams players.

Going through our depth chart in my head, it seems balanced so probably not Missouri.

17 SO(15rsSO, 2true)
4 rsFR

Once Mullen got through 09(playing a bunch of true FR), practically everyone @ State redshirts...

We are starting:

4 Freshman (but have 11 at #2 on the depth chart)
8 Sophomores
5 Juniors

Most of our 2nd string are freshman and sophomores. Most of the upperclassmen starting don't have many starting reps before this season.

In his 4th year with that many upper classmen you'd think Au would be favored to win more than 7 games. No way he/they should be using a we're young/inexperienced excuse; he's got his 09 class as seniors and 10 class as Juniors (plus Tubs 08 class if any redshirted and are still on team). Without looking it up I'd guess Au signed close to 60 players in those two classes.

I'd really like to hear how Florida's team is made up? They should be pretty stout on Defense and if the QB position is above average they should make some serious noise in the east.. You know they will not be down for much longer.

Our starters aren't exactly young anymore, but our overall depth still is. Being young isn't an excuse this year, we just aren't as talented at key positions to compete in the SEC. I still expect us to be vastly improved, win 8 games and go to a decent bowl for our 9th W of the season.

No. I just included our listed depth chart, which goes 3-deep at SS, and lists the 2-deep at the fullback role. That accounts for the extra 3.

No the youngest but we definitely are the most shallow with just 70 scholarship players.

Two deep offense + defense for Mizzou is:

10 seniors
14 juniors
10 sophomores
8 RS freshman
2 true freshman

We have three starters out that should be back this week or next week. They are two seniors and a sophomore.

Those are only the players listed as "starters" or 1st on the depth chart.

Auburn has 28 upperclassmen listed in their 2-deep without counting John Sullen twice.
