That was cool and all but damn y'all overhyped that. I never saw it before and expected something much more than Alabama players running past Notre Dame players in a tunnel.

Definitely raped them on the field. No doubt. But the description of the pregame made it sound like Alabama stopped in front of the Notre Dame players and talked shite or something. They just ran past them and might have hollered once or twice.
LSU beat Miami in a Peach Bowl not long ago 40-3 and then knocked out two Miami players in the tunnel unconsciously after they tried to start shite. I was thinking something more along those lines based on your description.

Honey Badger didn't stop Bama the year before. He was abused on several occasions. What makes you think he would have had any better success in 2012?
As far as the OP... you could see the fear in the eyes of the Irish players as they watched the Bama players going by. They didn't know whether to run, hide, or find their moms. They were beat before they stepped on the field... not because of players running by them in the tunnel but the simple fact that they were an over-hyped, average team with average talent. It just took that moment for reality to set in for them.

Tend to agree. I was at the game so I didn't see it live. When I saw the recording later I wondered what the fuss was about.
However, the pregame warmups on the field were much more telling. When both squads were on the field at the same time it was apparent the game wasn't going to last long.

Bama was loose as hell and ND was tight. Te'o had to pound his chest to restart his heart after that display of Bama awesomeness.

Must be a different game you are writing about. The Alabama-Notre Dame championship game I remember because I was there was won by Notre Dame and the margin of victory was one point.

I was embarrassed for NDnin that game because it was not their fault. ND had no business being in that game because they were way outclassed at every position. The media hyped that game because it would get huge ratings but ND was made to look really bad on national television. All of the awards their defense won that year went to players only because they played for ND, not because they were good. Alabama players on defense deserved every award the ND team had recorded. Shameful!
